Wiz and Fela. “Who Big Pass?” Small boys go write/talk like small boys. Elders go make you think. Wizkid dey sing for crowd, stadium full, light dey flash, money dey talk, awards dey stack, world dey shout: Starboy! Fela no need spotlight, him own be fire for chest, kalakuta be him stage, truth be him microphone. Wizkid dey make dem dance, make pain small, make joy flow, Fela dey make dem think, make fear run, make mind wake. One dey rule charts, one rule conscience. One dey give sweet escape, one dey give hard reality. So who big pass? Na who you dey measure am by. If na fame and cruise — Wizkid. If na fight and freedom — Fela. But hear me well, my people: River and fire no dey compete. One cool your body, one burn your chain. Different time, different battle, different kind of greatness. No be who big pass… Na who touch your soul pass. 🎶🔥 Na him Fada wan Know jare.

INEC is not incompetent. INEC is a criminal organization. Supreme Court sacked Abure since April 2025. INEC kept recognizing him and invited him for a meeting as LP chairman in October 2025. As of January 8, 2026, Abure is STILL listed on INEC’s website as Labour Party Chairman. Why? Because Peter Obi was still in LP. The very moment Obi moved to ADC, INEC suddenly “remembered” the Supreme Court judgment. Magic. If this is how INEC behaves in peacetime, imagine election season. Whatever the opposition is planning for 2027, one thing is clear: this INEC cannot deliver a free and fair election. At this rate, the rigging of 2027 will make the 2023 rigged election look like a free and fair election.

INDEPENDENT NATIONAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION PRESS STATEMENT RE: CLAIMS ON ACCESS CODE FOR LABOUR PARTY CANDIDATES IN THE 2026 FCT AREA COUNCIL ELECTION On Monday, 5th January, 2026 some supporters of the Labour Party protested at the INEC Headquarters, Abuja complaining about the exclusion of their candidates for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Election scheduled for Saturday, 21st February, 2026 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and demanded for the issuance of access code to upload its candidates for the election. In response, the Commission wishes to state that the Labour Party has been enmeshed in prolonged internal leadership disputes since 2024, which culminated in the judgment of the Supreme Court in Appeal No. SC/CV/56/2025 (Usman v. Labour Party) delivered on 4th April 2025. In that decision, the Apex Court unequivocally held that the tenure of the Barr. Julius Abure-led National Executive Committee had expired. Despite this clear pronouncement, the Abure-led faction purportedly conducted primaries for the August 16, 2025, bye-election nationwide and the FCT Area Council Election. It is also pertinent to recall that the Abure-led faction instituted Suit No. FHC/ABJ/1523/2025– Labour Party v. INEC at the Federal High Court, Abuja, challenging the decision of INEC excluding it from participating in the bye-election. Judgment was delivered on 15th August, 2025, dismissing the suit and enforcing the Supreme Court’s position that Barr. Julius Abure was no longer recognised as the National Chairman of the Labour Party and thus upholding the decision of INEC to exclude the Labour Party from the bye-election. Thereafter, the Labour Party filed multiple suits against INEC in different courts, all seeking Orders compelling INEC to grant an access code for the upload of its candidates for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council Election scheduled for Saturday, 21st February, 2026. These suits include Suit No. NSD/LF.84/2024 before the Nasarawa State High Court, Akwanga Division. When the matter at the Nasarawa State High Court got stalled, the Labour Party approached the Federal High Court Abuja in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/2110/2025 seeking an Order compelling INEC to issue Access Codes to its candidates and the matter is still pending before the Court. The Labour Party again approached the FCT High Court, Jabi Division in another fresh Suit No. CV/4792/2025 and filed a Motion seeking an Order compelling INEC to issue Access Codes to its candidates for the FCT Area Council election. The matter was adjourned, after INEC had filed its Reply, to 15th January 2026 for the hearing of the motion. One would have expected the Party to wait for the hearing of this motion, but the Labour Party filed another suit in Suit No. CV/4930/2025 before the FCT High Court, Life Camp Division, seeking the same relief to compel INEC to grant Access Codes to upload its candidates for the FCT Area Council election. By an Order Exparte in this latest Suit No. CV/4930/2025, the FCT High Court sitting in Life Camp, Abuja granted an interim Order on 16th December, 2025, directing the Commission to upload the names and particulars of the Labour Party candidates for the FCT Area Council Election. The Court expressly stated that the Order would lapse after seven days unless extended. Upon being served with the originating processes, INEC promptly filed its defence, challenging the competence of the suit and the jurisdiction of the Court. The interim Order consequently lapsed on 23rd December, 2025 and was not extended. Accordingly, there is presently no subsisting Court Order for INEC to act upon. Given that the matter is sub judice, INEC will continue to respect the sanctity of the judicial process and await the final determination of the pending cases.

Peter Obi represents what they fear and what they lack. They control power but not conviction. They hold office but not trust. So they talk about him constantly to stay relevant in the same conversation. When you truly feel secure, you focus on governance. When you feel threatened, you focus on opposition. Ask yourself a simple question. If Peter Obi is politically finished as they often claim, why the obsession? Why the coordinated responses? Why the daily mentions from people who should be busy defending policy outcomes and fixing a broken economy? What PO has is moral capital. He has credibility with young people, with the middle class, with Nigerians who are tired of noise and empty propaganda. He has a brand built on restraint, discipline, and accountability. That kind of influence cannot be bought or bullied away. They may have power today, but he has belief. And belief is dangerous to any government that is struggling to justify itself.

Today, Nigerians woke up again to the troubling news that the Federal Government is planning to borrow about ₦20 trillion in new loans to finance the 2026 budget. This is at a time when debt servicing alone is projected to gulp nearly half of our national revenue, and when our borrowing requirement has surged by over 72%. At a time when Nigerians are struggling under unprecedented hardship, insecurity, and unemployment, we must ask the most important and logical questions: Where is the revenue from 2025? How can we be discussing trillions in new borrowing for 2026 when we are still implementing the 2024 budget? One is genuinely worried. This suggests, very clearly, that the 2025 budget is still untouched and unimplemented. So, where are all the revenues that accrued in 2025, even when we were told that we had surpassed the revenue targets since August? It is time for us to stop this fiscal rascality, especially with uncontrolled and unexplained borrowing that is not being invested in the productive sectors of our nation, but instead ends up in consumption. We cannot keep mortgaging the future of our children through thoughtless borrowing. We cannot continue this way. For years, I have consistently maintained that Nigeria cannot borrow its way into prosperity. Nations do not develop by consuming more than they produce. They develop by producing, exporting, and creating value, while building strong institutions that ensure accountability and efficient use of public funds. We cannot tell Nigerians that revenue is increasing while simultaneously increasing borrowing to ridiculous historic levels. Governance must be built on transparency, not propaganda. We cannot build a new Nigeria on the foundation of misleading figures, rising debts, shrinking production, and continuous hardship. Our nation must move forward. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

For context. The first N1.5m raised was used to offset yesterday's bill. This N18m is the money raised after the bill was offset. Thus, total money raised between yesterday and today is N19.5m+

JUST IN: Two trailers consisting of more than 550 passengers inside caught in Numan bridge, Adamawa State. The two trailers were intercepted and escorted out of Adamawa state with immediate effect. They didn’t move any further. They did a UTurn and went from where they were coming from. It has been confirmed that the two trailers with registration numbers: NNY-236-XA (Yobe) GAS-330-XA (Taraba) They intercepted at the Numan Bridge, carrying about 550 travelers. Guess what? 50% of the travelers are not from Nigeria. They are from Chad, and Nigér Republic, while others were from Yobe and Katsina States. The passengers could not give any clear reason for their mass movement, which raised security concerns. A joint team of Immigration, Police, and Military later escorted the group back to the Adamawa-Gombe boundary with instructions to return to where they are coming from pending further clarification. We thank the Police Commissioner, Nigeria Army and the Nigeria Immigration Service for their quick action in protecting the state. ©️Ntemlack Peter Ganchok

For years, they came in trucks - loaded between cattles and bags of tomatoes. Those trucks came from the North daily, infiltrating your states - where you thought you were safe & only Northern Christians suffer. You think those trucks contained only cattles and food produce? You're in for the shock of your life. When they land your states, they are mapped into sleeper cells - they get bikes & get cheap pay to man your gates. The North was only a catalyst. There's nowhere safe in Nigeria. There's no state in the South west where they don't have small militias in resting phase. In one week - a general was slain, churches in the SW now attacked, hundreds of armed bikemen now parading streets in the SE. The signs are there. The sleeper cells are getting activated. They are expanding target zones. If you think this is still about politics, all it takes is one Sunday service to clear your doubt.

@powerfulbadeeu I digress, but I think the analysis should be roadside food vs posh restaurants which one is "unsafer" cos we'd be analysing the unhygienic state of roadside food cos we see the preparation process, not knowing that the unhygieniness of the restaurants is hidden in their poshness

I can't remember most of it from this year. But take this 10 from 2025. 1. Helped raised ransom money for Rhoda, a Unilorin graduate, who was kidnapped on her way to NYSC camp in Rivers. She has since moved back to Ibadan and doing well. 2. Raised N24.9m for your leg surgery in Egypt. 3. Helped @yemi_omj raise N5m for her eye surgery. 4. @AdunolaDammy's cousin needed N3m for ameloblastoma(jaw tumor) surgery and we raised N4.2m. 5. Raised N6m in 4 hours for @b_o_r___ah hip replacement surgery. 6. Worked with @UnkleAyo on #PeopleHelpingPeople to raised funds to pay fees, hospital bills and support business. Over N70m was raised, distributed and accounted for. 7. Worked with @egi_nupe to free an illegally imprisoned guy from Kirikiri, after the influncers vs Prisoners match in Kirikiri. 8. I helped some First Class graduates get jobs. 9. @neo_officialll has lost his account 3 times this year. Each time he opens a new account, I help him get it back up and promote his business. He is the number one online seller of electronics. A brand you can trust. You should patronize him today and he will deliver to you anywhere you are in Nigeria. 10. I've helped people grown their accounts and engagement, I've raised funds I can't even remember towards education and health care. I follow anyone who meets me in person and take pictures with those who ask for one. I retweet a lot when I can't engage. . . . Generally, in the last 6 years, I've raised over N500m on this app towards people's welfare 😊

Rufai Oseni: An Anchor in the Eye of the Storm Arise Television’s morning show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has once again found himself at the center of public controversy. His recent interview with the Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, a former governor of Ebonyi State, has stirred widespread debate about his on-air style and professional conduct. While some viewers have criticized Rufai for being confrontational or overly assertive with guests, many others see him as a rare and principled journalist one who asks hard questions and refuses to pamper public officials with soft, self-serving interviews. His past exchanges with APC stalwart Jesutega Onakpasa and Lere Olayinka, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the FCT Minister, further intensified calls from some quarters for his removal. Yet, whether such calls are truly based on professional concerns or politically motivated remains debatable. The loudest voices demanding his replacement appear to come from individuals sharing the same political persuasion raising questions about the sincerity and objectivity of their criticism. The most recent confrontation, with Dave Umahi, has generated the most noise. Some detractors even claimed Rufai asked the minister to “keep quiet,” a demonstrably false statement. A review of the video clearly shows that Rufai’s words paraphrased were polite and measured: “If you could keep quiet and hear me out, you will appreciate my viewpoint.” From the onset, it was evident that Umahi came to the interview spoiling for a roforofo (mud-slinging) exchange. Rufai, as an anchor, has no duty to massage anyone’s ego. What the public expects are transparent, factual answers not bureaucratic half-truths designed to evade accountability. Several questions remain legitimate and unanswered:    •   What kind of contract remains subject to “presidential review” midway through execution?    •   How could due diligence have been skipped before awarding such a monumental project?    •   With the President’s directive that 100km of the coastal highway should pass through Edo State, does the total project length rise to 800km or remain 700km with adjustments? A ₦15 trillion contract that continues to undergo soil tests and preliminary assessments long after award naturally raises red flags. Rufai’s insistence on interrogating these inconsistencies is not disrespect it is journalism doing its job. There seems to be a deliberate attempt to intimidate or silence independent media voices. Rufai Oseni does not appear to me to belong to the class of “brown-envelope” journalists who seek handshakes or rewards after interviews. He represents a new generation of professionals determined to make truth, accountability, and transparency the centerpiece of public discourse. I therefore stand firmly with Rufai Oseni on this issue and urge the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) and the management of Arise Television to continue supporting him as he discharges his duties with courage, fairness, and professional integrity.
