Well, it's no surprise he's been documented turning the presidency into a personal trading desk, buying and selling stocks in companies that have direct business before the federal government he controls. The White House, as usual, had no real answer when asked about the blatant conflicts of interest. But Donald K. Sherman, president of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, sure had one: “Rather than avoiding transactions involving industries with business before his administration,” Sherman said. “Trump has prioritized serving himself at the expense of public trust once again.” Corruption much? While Trump lectures everyone else about “America First,” he’s quietly making sure it's his own portfolio that comes first. Presidents are supposed to divest or put assets in blind trusts to avoid exactly this kind of self-dealing. Trump doesn't give a crap about trading rules or any other rules. He’s not just profiting off the presidency, he’s openly selling it piecemeal to the highest bidders. How on earth is Trump’s self-dealing and corruption not being stopped by some guardrail at some point? It is completely out of control. War always, absolutely always, inevitably returns to the one who criminally unleashed it. And in the end, it turns against the aggressor himself. Now Moscow will have to relearn that lesson again, a lesson that humankind keeps refusing to learn century after century. Ukraine stood its ground heroically. Last night, Ukraine finally attacked Russia, including Moscow, with more than 1,000 drones. Media report Muscovites suitably shaken after having boasted that Moscow was never cleaner or more beautiful. The Ukrainians have understood that the war had to hit the capital to make a difference. The US administrations never did that. They refused to give Ukraine the relevant long-distance arms & Europeans did not have such missiles. Now Ukraine has developed such missiles & drones itself & does not need to ask anybody for permission. Europe supports Ukraine, while Trump supports Putin & is thus irrelevant for Ukraine.
