@sidsinger @TheFireMaan Like when Mike Brown wanted to try to have a DE play TE because he could run well.

@TheFireMaan Right Please no. Don’t try to change them into something they haven’t done, and ask them to do it against tougher competition than they’ve ever played against. Never works.

I have seen this movie before. His name was Reinard Wilson. he was an elite pass rusher from Florida State. The Bengals had him drop into coverage and it wasn’t pretty. Let this man get after the QB!

Cashius Howell on playing a hybrid LB role in the NFL: “I can guard man-to-man on a tight end, man-to-man on a running back, so I definitely feel like I could fit into that hybrid-edge linebacker role, for sure.” #Bengals

#Bengals just landed a physically impressive perimeter WR in Colbie Young At almost 6’5 and 218, Young showed his sub 4.50 speed at the NFL combine and showed why he’s been on NFL radars for years in that UGA WR room. Standout @ShrineBowl week too. Elite HWS and immediate special teams value, but don’t be surprised if he wows when given opportunities behind Chase/Higgins. #ShrineBowlWhosNext

Zac Taylor fielded multiple questions about why he was comfortable with the off-field issues that Colbie Young experienced at Georgia and made strong statements supporting their vetting and Young's character. A repeated talking point was the UGA returned Young to play after the suspension and battery/assault charges. Taylor on why he was comfortable with the character on WR Colbie Young: "Talking to all the humans we talked to that really stood on the table for him and Georgia returned him to play. Georgia went through the whole process, returned him to play. We just felt really comfortable with the person we are adding to our locker room, the person we are adding to our community, just all of us getting to know the kid. We feel really, really comfortable with bringing Colbie in here and I think once you all get to know him you will see the same thing we see." "We have a lot of people that have done a lot of research on him. We feel really good about all the information we got and if we didn’t feel comfortable we wouldn’t have done it. We are comfortable with the process he’s gone through." Taylor on any lessons learned during over the year in vetting off-field issues: "There’s been times I’ve signed up for great risk in the past. I’ve put my hand up when maybe there are some of those red flags up there. This is one that I feel great about because you go through the process of the last seven years, guys I’ve gotten to spend a lot of time with once we got them in here and guys I wanted and sometimes it’s more difficult than others. This is one I feel great about. And I feel great everyone is going to feel that."

Here we go. Day 2 about to get rolling. Here's my look at the path to 41 from earlier today.
Paul Dehner Jr.@pauldehnerjr

Many options for the #Bengals expected at 41. Likely comes down to sticking or potentially moving back 5-10 spots to add a 4th-ish. Here's my view of their board. One of T1 at 41 or trade back pushes them into T2. Their view of the gap probably drives the decision.

After seeing Rueben Bain Jr. & Caleb Downs last passed pick 10, do you still feel as good about trading the pick away for Dexter Lawrence?

Compensation update: Now that he has passed his physical and the trade is official, newly-acquired DT Dexter Lawerence is signing a one-year, $28 million contract extension with the Bengals, per @WinSportsGroup So in the end, Lawrence gets the trade he wanted while being contractually tied to Cincinnati for the next three seasons.
