@Kevin_Maguire Why have none of the media mentioned that a Reform stated policy is to make the UK a major crypto hub? Surely that is highly relevant

If Nigel Farage was judged to have broken Commons rules by keeping secret his £5m bung from a Thai-based cypto tycoon then the huge amount, when Reform would boost the billionaire's fortune, could earn a suspension. Byelection? Parly Standards Commissioner has opened an inquiry

BREAKING: The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner has decided to begin an inquiry into whether the Reform leader Nigel Farage has breached the House of Commons Code of Conduct over accepting a £5m gift and not declaring it. Interviewed Farage on that donation last week
Sky News@SkyNews

Nigel Farage told Sky's @BethRigby that he took a £5 million gift from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in early 2024, before he announced he would stand for parliament, for 'protection'

@BBCNews Don't you think covering the £ 5 million donation to Farage is more important than a controversial disallowed goal. The donation was from a crypto billionaire & making the UK a leading crypto hub is in Reforms stated policies

@TedUrchin His positive attitude to crypto is no secret, Reform's intent to make the UK a leading crypto hub is stated amongst policies on their website ..... which makes the £5 million look even more dodgy

Right, so, let me get this straight….. We’re being told that Nigel Farage was given 5 million quid when he was holding NO public office, and had no intention of doing so again, by some random crypto-billionaire living in Thailand and for Nige’s ‘lifelong’ protection. But, within months, he then becomes MP for Clacton and, other than standing on the ‘anti-immigrant platform, he also secretly holds a positive attitude towards cryptocurrencies and a willingness to further legitimise them. Pull the other one, Farage, it’s got fucking bells on it, you grifting bastard. You need to be removed from public office altogether.

@BBCPolitics Why are you not covering the £5 million crypto donation to Farage? And the fact making UK a crypto hub is a stated policy on their website. Is this was Starmer, you would be covering it on BBC News on TV

You’ll rarely see on-field celebrations this muted when a team that’s top beats a team that’s second with the final kick of the match. Saints happy to win but clearly desperate to improve in several areas ahead of the trip to Tigers in two weeks’ time.

This St George’s Day, let’s celebrate the immense contribution that England has made. I’m proud of our country but too many of our young people are ashamed. That changes under a Reform government. Our Patriotic Schools Initiative will: 🇬🇧 Place a duty on schools to fly the national flag and display a portrait of the monarch prominently on school premises 🇬🇧 Roll out a patriotic and balanced curriculum teaching the value of our country and our history instead of ‘decolonising’ it. 🇬🇧 Give the Education Secretary powers to intervene when teachers get political in the classroom or pursue an ideological agenda in schools. Let’s put patriotism back into the classroom! telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

@FogartyJack This is the same referee that let Scotland repeatedly infringe at the scrum without a yellow card in 3rd qtr v England. Fagerson got a specific warning, got subbed off, then at next scrum the replacement infringed, ref called penalty advantage but never came back to card the Scot

@RugbyGerrit @bencoles_ TMOs have been very reluctant to intervene in this 6N - a good thing. Why did the TMO chose to intervene in this situation? I can never remember a TMO changing a pen advantage to knock-on during live play

@bencoles_ Confusing’? The rules were clear. Advantage ended, ball lost, try scored. Happens every week — players have to adapt, not point fingers.

Steve Borthwick afterwards mentioned the confusion around this knock-on. Fin Smith kicked the ball away, having been told England had a penalty advantage, right as Nika Amashukeli said it was just a knock-on (after a call from the TMO) and that advantage was over. Led to Bielle-Biarrey's fourth (!) try. "I think that World Rugby needs to look at that kind of situation. You can't have the players playing with certain knowledge and then it taken away from them."

@Foxtuity @GetTheFabulous I got 10 GCSEs and 4 grade A A levels but was always a last minute crammer. You get away with it up to A Levels, less so at degree level but not at all in the workplace where good prioritisation, time management & not procrastinating are essential, the flaws get exposed

@LizWebsterSBF @ZackPolanski This is very true. But I think the public will question whether a party like the Greens could put together a cabinet capable of implementing their admirable aims in a messy politic world with it's imperative economic/financial credibility

I agree with @ZackPolanski framing here. It’s spot on.
Novara Media@novaramedia

It might look like Keir Starmer's Labour is terrible at being in power, but they're actually highly effective at doing what they are really there for: serving corporate interests. Green party leader @ZackPolanski told Novara Media's @AaronBastani that Labour’s decisions only seem baffling if you think their intention is to be popular or stay in government. “As soon as you shift the frame to: these are politicians who have been bought and paid for by oil and gas, arms trade companies, private healthcare companies and gambling companies, their behaviour makes absolute sense,” he said.

@guy_masters62 Disagree that level Scots of performance would win the grand slam, no chance. 3 of the 4 tries were gift-wrapped from bad England errors plus we spent 30 mins with a man down

@DominyRichard @EnglandRugby Exactly. The only thing that matters in a Calcutta game at Murrayfield is not getting a bad start early on. It turbo charges the Scots players & crowd. Do t think the Scots did much amazing but totally energised and us the opposite until the last 20

@EnglandRugby As commentators said England didn’t get off the bus for the first 20 minutes. They must have known Scotland would come at them very fast from kickoff and yet seemed unprepared for it. Losing a player for anther 20 minutes didn’t help.

@EnglandRugby Scotland were pretty good but let’s not think for one moment they played us off the park. England spilled 3 try scoring passages of play in that second half. Scotland got a breakaway try They defended well, but England beats this team 8 times outta 10. Yes. I’m salty.

@EnglandRugby We lost that game from the moment Mitchell put up that box kick after we’d just driven them back 30 yards with our forward power about 90 seconds in. The ref should be investigated though also. That first yellow the worst decision I think I’ve ever seen

This England Rugby team is full of star quality all over the park and I have said before, I don't believe Steve Borthwick is the man who can maximise the potential in this England team on a regular basis. Why on earth each and every single game, do we persist with the box kick and chase game alongside a territorial kicking game? This team is so much better than that and unless I see a vast improvement throughout the rest of this Six Nations, I worry that we are heading into a World Cup wasting what is a great collection of English players.
