We play board/card games with our daughter and I'm after recommendations. We like Catan, carcassone, ticket to ride and sleeping queens. Any recommendations? Amazon links appreciated (She's 7)

@TheREPodcast1 Thinking the immaculate conception (which is Mary being born without sin) and the virgin birth (of Jesus) are the same thing.

What are the common RE misconceptions you come across by students or other adults (e.g. Jesus was visited by Three Kings) #TeamRE

@JaggersMaths Edexcel allow “angles in a full turn = 360” or “angles about a point = 360” . They do not allow “angles in a circle”.

It's for: Angles on a straight line Angles around a point Vertically opposite angles Sum of angles in a triangle Sum of angles in a quadrilateral Base angles of isosceles triangles In particular, are they allowed "full turn" or "circle" for around a point? What to be sure!

I'm making a resource on reasons vs methods for angle facts so students can learn the difference. E.g. Because 180 - 40 = 140 (method) Because angles on a straight line sum to 180 degrees (reason). Does anyone know exactly what is and isn't acceptable in terms of wording? ...

@bphillipsonMP @dare_richard I assume from your tweet that you agree ALL teachers deserve the 5.5% increase. Why have teachers in non- academised sixth forms been excluded? I have yet to hear any explanation for this glaring oversight. #PayUp24

I just bumped into my old primary school Head, Mr Grieveson – a brilliant, inspiring teacher. It's the first time I've seen him since 1995, but we all remember teachers that made a difference to our lives. He says teaching is still a brilliant career 👉 getintoteaching.education.gov.uk.

Please send your messages of support to our striking members in non-academised sixth form colleges. They are going into christmas without a pay award, a shocking state of affairs. They deserve the 5.5% like everyone else.

@educationgovuk Perhaps if you funded teachers in FE equally with teachers in secondary you might do better attracting new staff. Are you aware @NEUnion is striking this week and next in relation to this? Tone deaf post.

@missradders Depends how many you’ve done I guess! My goal was to visit all 50 US states before 50. I’d been at 49 for a while & was going to spend my 50th birthday in Alaska but the pandemic ruined that idea. Still on 49. Alaska trip will happen in near future.

Wondering if people would be interested in an assembled one. Looks like it will be around £3.50 to cover postage and costs etc (may also throw something else in the envelope with it). Who would be interested?

As you probably know, I love Christmas! In addition to my usual A-Level maths calculated colouring I will also have a Further Maths advent calendar! Will likely release the template mid November as it requires cutting and sticking.

@HughesHaili Very common. I work at a sixth form college. We always have some movement in the first few weeks. Students joining from other places, students leaving to go to other places. Obviously depends on the college and if they have spaces left on the specific courses he wants to do.
