When my wife came forward to publicly recount her abuse in the press & court, I learned things I didn't know about, because I didn't act like a journalist or a defense attorney and grill her or make her re-live the traumatic details for the sake of my curiosity. Hope this helps!

It was the 80s, no cell phones. I had to drive 18 hours to college alone. I was 19. My dad got me a CB radio for emergencies. All the truckers saw the antennae on my car and talked to me, some trying to get me to pull over at the nearest truck stop. So safe 😂
