This is the Hadith you talked about: لا تسأل الإمارة فإنك إن أعطيتها عن مسألة وكلت إليها وإن أعطيتها عن غير مسألة أعنت عليها It warns that if you hunt for leadership, you will be left to carry the heavy weight of it on your own, but if it finds you, you will have support from the Creator. Truly, when you look at this Hadith, you will see that it is a protection for the heart in a stable world where there are plenty of upright people ready to step in. But we have to look at the ground under our feet. Scholars whom I anchor on their knowledge here: Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Uthaymeen have explained that this rule changes when the situation is dire. For example, in Al-Siyasah al-Shar'iyyah, Ibn Taymiyyah’s logic is that if a person has the specific skills to stop a disaster or bring justice, and there is a vacuum of leadership, then seeking that role becomes a duty. It is the Yusuf (peace be upon him) model. Now ask yourself, is there vacuum of leadership in the North or not? Ibn Uthaymeen also pointed out that the prohibition is for those seeking power for their own pride or when the field is already full of capable people. If the people with integrity stay in the shadows while the structure is failing, they are just handing the future over to the very people they complain about. As for the system, the Governor has control over it if he is sincere. These knowledgeable people are mostly sincere, and if they populate the system, it will be better. Remember, the system is not a vacuum, bad people make up the bad system we have today.
Yusuf_the analyst@Alesh71910998

But the prophet restrained us from seeking power. Have you forgotten the hadith sheikh. You can't be a political position without worshipping the system, you'll preach and promote it. Being leader is not problem, but the system

Prologue: " when opposition political leaders are driven by personal ambition and greed, they will end up with neither power nor honour but pain and lamentations of " HAD WE KNOWN".......per Mahdi Shehu NB: PDP, LP, ADC, NDC, PRP etc are unrealistic vehicles of contesting and winning elections from top to the bottom because: 1. Inec are visibly partial and have descended into the political arena as an extension of APC ( or so it seems) 2. Because APC chieftains seem to be in tacit agreement to ensure that they face no credible opposition. 3. Because the courts are neither willing nor prepared to be impartial arbiters or so it seems. 4. Because some provisions of the electoral act are worse than a military decree and skewed against them. 5. Because all the opposition aspirants seeking to pick the presidential ticket seem DESPARATE to the extent that their personal ambitions have overshadowed the dangers facing Nigeria. 6. Because the opposition leaders are not truly seeing the bigger picture and the monumental dangers ahead. They are looking inside a mirror but don't seem to understand the image they are seeing. 7. An honest harmony between the gladiators would have produced a historically formidable opposition capable of giving APC a chase for its money. 8. The refusal of the Over ambitious gladiators to cooperate among themselves and arrive at a consensus will serve as a Fuel to power the engine of the APC car that will drive to "SUCCESS" even if without destination. 9. The rumored plan by the opposition to move to another party (NDC, PRP, APM) etc and some among them going back to APC is nothing but a FINAL BURIAL ARRANGEMENT with neither a priest nor an imam willing to preside over the burial rites. 10. Out of their greed, miscalculation and naivety, the gladiators are ready and willing to dump millions of Nigerians into the gutter. 11. The opposition gladiators should take note that NOW is their last chance to be of any significance in the politics of Nigeria because after losing 2027 opportunity there will be NO MORE NIGERIA FOR THEM to contest for, as Smaller nations may probably emerge in which they will have no role to play because they have ROCKED THE BOATS. 12. If the opposition are United, they have the chance of being called credible opposition. If they remain undecided and divided as they currently are, they will be reduced into combustible materials with neither market nor value. deserving Neither sympathy nor pity. Gracefully, the God of Abraham, Moses, Ezra, Solomon, David, Jesus, Muhammad is watching, fully aware and very much capable of changing a seemingly bad situation into a good one. because with him EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu can never use and dump you. This is a list of the 2003 Lagos State Cabinet under then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and what they went on to become. Obidiots have 24hrs to reply with Peter Obi’s cabinet when he was Governor of Anambra state. • The Vice Presidency: Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, who served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, eventually ascended to become the Vice President of Nigeria (2015–2023). • From Commissioners to Governors & Ministers: Both Babatunde Fashola (former Chief of Staff) and Rauf Aregbesola (former Commissioner for Works) followed the gubernatorial path before serving in the Federal Cabinet as Ministers. • The Financial Helm: Olayemi Cardoso, once the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, now steers the nation's economy as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). • Olawale Edun: immediate past Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy. • Dele Alake: Minister of Solid Minerals Development. Legal and Party Leadership • Muiz Banire: A legal heavyweight who attained the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) in 2015. He also served as the National Legal Adviser for the APC and was appointed a Life Bencher. • The Party Architects: Both Henry Ajomale and Tunde Balogun transitioned from the cabinet to lead the party machinery as Chairmen of the Lagos State chapter. The Ultimate Ascent. The man who curated this assembly of talent, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has transitioned from the "Architect of Modern Lagos" to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

South East and Ndi-Igbo Express Strong Anger Over Peter Obi’s Defection from ADC to NDC It is now common knowledge that Peter Obi’s move from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the NDC has triggered widespread anger across the South East region and among Ndi-Igbo. Many critical political analysts and thought leaders in the South East argue that this decision has significantly damaged not only Obi’s personal political prospects but also the broader chances of the Igbo nation coming close to Aso Rock in the next two decades. They believe the defection has further eroded trust and political capital built over years of advocacy for the region. As a result, observers predict that the South East will send a clear message at the polling units by voting against Peter Obi in upcoming elections. This development marks a notable shift in regional sentiment..

As expected, Peter Obi will leave ADC because he’s too cowardly to contest in a primary election. He wants a party that will hand him a free ticket without any competition, and that’s not happening in ADC. He either accepts the VP slot or runs away like the coward he is.

Let me tell you a story : Buhari contested 2 times with VP candidates from the SE and lost, infact the last one Ume Ezeoke denied Buhari when Buhari was on litigation with Yaradua in compensation his son was appointed SA by Yaradua. 2011 Buhari moved his VP to SW this time he did very well and got over 11M votes, by 2015 he finally won with a SW VP. One good thing about SW they never vote blindly, typical example is 2023 despite their son Tinubu was candidate Atiku won Osun and got over 182k votes in Oyo, Obi won Lagos too. Their own son Tinubu could only get 55% of votes in the SW 2023, this tells you how independent they are, compare this to Obi that got 90% in SE. Now in the SE Atiku could only get 90k votes in the whole SE zone that's paltry 4% of vote. Verdict : @atiku please make Makinde your running mate for 2027.

@donholyma The answer is quite simple: PO is connected to the Church and he drew huge support there. Sowore doesn't use religion to gain popularity in his politics. Religion has always been used to brainwash the youth so they can't think critically.

Why are the youth NOT choosing Sowore? Nigerian youth, let’s have an honest debate In 2023, Peter Obi got over 68% of online youth support under 30. Millions screamed “Obidient!” rallies, hashtags, energy for days. Omoyele Sowore? This man has been fighting corruption, bad governance and dictatorship since most of us were kids. Sahara Reporters exposed more scandals than most politicians ever will. Yet he still pulls tiny numbers compared to Obi. Why Peter Obi instead? Is it because Obi feels “safe and electable” while Sowore is too radical and revolutionary? Or is Sowore simply not connecting with the average youth the same way?

Biggest Mack@Big_Mck·
Sir, now that you have left ADC, after previously leaving Labour Party for the same reason, and NDC or any other party doesn't seem likely to be different, it is time to join the anti-imperialist struggle. It is the only meaningful struggle on the African continent now. Imperialism is the root cause of your problems. It is the reason why they can never allow you to be president. In case you are not aware, they will never let someone who made his campaign slogan “from consumption to production,” models China and talks tough about lifting Nigerians out of poverty to be president. You are rich. You can channel some of that money into funding programs aimed at decolonization, rather than wasting them on Nigeria’s current (electoral) democratic system. A decolonized population is what your presidential bid needs. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Let's set the records straight here! In ADC, the party wants a consensus method. Atiku Abubakar also wants a consensus method. Peter Obi however wants a direct primary method. This way, the people will determine who becomes the party's presidential candidate and not some few party executives. For those who don't know, the new electoral law allows for only two options which are direct primary and consensus. The law has abolished the delegate method. The advantage of the consensus method is that it's cheaper to run however it has a huge disadvantage which is that a candidate emerges by the decision of just very few party executives. The direct primary on the other hand allows every member of the party to participate in the primary thereby ensuring that the most popular candidate emerges. The ADC and Atiku Abubakar want CONSENSUS while Peter Obi wants DIRECT PRIMARY. Be the judge, who is more sincere and who is running away from primary? Nigeria will be OK 🇳🇬
