My project was in collaboration with @kewgardens @KewScience and modelled the potentially suitable habitat of Pinanga spp. (a genus of tropical forest understorey palm) across Borneo.

@Sunkensie @TheLabAndField Enjoy the good things Germany has to offer while battling with reserved Germans, their staring and their endless love for rules. Bread, sausages, beer, BBQ, lots of activities around Munich, etc... Oh and in Sauna's you are still expected to be naked. Important! 😄

Come prepared to the apartment hunts with contract, pay slips, etc. Maybe get a German native to help you with the Bürgeramt - they can be a pain in the

@Sunkensie @TheLabAndField Lastly, learning German will help A LOT if you want to meet Germans. We might come across as standoffish and very reserved, takes a while for us to warm up to strangers. But once you do make a connection, Germans tend to be honest very loyal and you will have a lifelong friend.

@GilleighD @Sunkensie Oh my god, yes. As a German who moved to the UK I had to tone down my habit of looking at people and looking into the eye of strangers a lot! Sorry for all, that I freaked out...

@Sunkensie Apartment hunting is intense in the bigger cities, you need to have all your beurocratic ducks in a row. At least in Berlin, people like to stare intensely at you. Don't worry, it's not you.
