“Colleague has invited you to edit the following spreadsheet:” Oh don’t mind me as I spend a few hours resizing cells, adding our team logo, creating conditional formatting, adding data validation… and completely forgetting what data you needed me to enter.

Are you hiring remotely for design, engineering, and customer support? I know a great group of senior-level people of high character appreciative of new opportunities. Hopefully it’s ok to talk about societal issues with coworkers. Reply if you’re hiring, or help with a retweet!

Wrapped up my first six months at @instagram. I’m reminded that my favorite job perk isn’t free stuff or time off; it’s the kindness and quality of the team. The designers I support run circles around me, and my leadership peers make me feel like a rookie. Feeling grateful.

Practice your craft in all that you do. Typeset your documents. Write thoughtfully. Edit rigorously as if the world is reading. Tell stories instead of stats in your decks. The care you exhibit in your work can inspire elevated effort from those around you. (4/4)

A diverse team culture matters. We rebuilt our team to embrace each other’s strengths, weaknesses, and backgrounds. We talk about what makes us unique regularly. We talk about uncomfortable things. We’re weird, goofy, different, and proud of it. (4/5)
