@ajaynarasimhan That is a blue cup around the cervix placed vaginally. It is called a colpotomy cup.
Thank you for the kind words!
English

@MIGS_TIPS Sorry for a basic question. What is the blue thing in the pelvis. Am a thoracic surgeon so I am not familiar with this. Amazing surgical hands though. Pleasure watching you operate.

En-Bloc resection of a cesarean section ectopic pregnancy. I use temporary vascular clamps and vasopressin to minimize blood loss! Would you do anything different? 🪡🧵
English

@SteveW007 Really good idea!
The ectopic was so well defined on TVUS (should have included the images) and surgically it was so well circumscribed that we didn’t feel the need. But if there was a question about its location and bounds I would have hyateroscopically verified.
Vaso 20u/100cc!
English

@MIGS_TIPS Great Case!!! Have you considered Hysteroscopy during the surgery or even just a scope and light in the uterus to better visualize the location of the ectopic? What concentration of Vasopressin do you use?
English

@Karnak971766 Luckily the patient was an excellent historian and reported a history of ureter surgery as a child 😵💫
English

@MIGS_TIPS How do you know in the first place??
Great identification by the way
