Day 3 of seeking help from the internet. I’m a newly inducted nurse who needs help in securing internship placement. I have applied to various hospitals and has been disappointed. I’m currently not doing anything and is making me feel frustrated. Please help me 🥹

Dear @davido I’m a newly inducted nurse that has been seeking for an internship placement for over two months and I haven’t gotten any. I’m now at a point of “violence taketh it by force”. Please, I’m in dire need of your help in getting an internship placement.

I found myself today going through my school fee receipts one by one, and all i can say is, Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of men.

@dagbananurse My license was stuck too, I got letter of introduction from my school of nursing to nmcn attached my licence payment receipt to it. Took it to Abuja and my license came out two days after my nor too. They can try the method.

From my DM... It's not just the certificate issue. There are nurses without licences since 2024, some have a wrong name on their licence, and some have a wrong picture on their licence. How do these nurses practice and progress with these issues when NMCN has refused to rectify and address them? These are the main roles of NMCN; maintaining standards of training and practice, licencing, and discipline, and they've fallen short in all these roles.

@nr_davidolise I will be honest, 7 nights 6pm to 8am. One nurse on duty in A&E. I work in ondo state and we're severely short-staffed hence the shift we do.

@doctrLakes You mean state university of medical science. And do you know how much unimed pay as school fee alone? A common man can't afford it without going into debt.

I can understand the Clownery of FUTO doing medicine. I mean, IMSUTH has been a catastrophe, always been and you have FMC Owerri so why not if you can. The Clownery I don't understand is FUTA doing medicine inside the same Ondo where you have a federal university of medical sciences which is still young. Very soon FUTMinna too will start medicine 🤡🤡🤡

Since 2023 I've not gotten my midwifery and PHN license.

It's painful to note that the last set of nurses that were awarded certificate are November 2022 graduate nurses. @Nigeria_NMC you can liase with Federal Government for the nurses to be issued their notification and certificate. I lend my voice on behalf of all affected Nurses.
