Romandie as a race and its' surgery may have been a success... but the question is whether the patient will stay alive in its current form into next year. I’m cautiously hopeful it will. I can’t offer a higher assessment of the race now, personally, I haven’t been this uninterested in a World Tour race in a long time. #TDR2026

What Pogačar did today almost feels routine and normal by his standards, but it’s still extraordinary, especially considering he’s coming out of the classics with a physique built to dominate in a race like Paris Roubaix. And yet, he’s still able to drop everyone in the high mountains with relative ease. And I totally expect something similar at the Tour. But Lipowitz was truly impressive today. He’s showing that his Tour podium wasn’t a fluke at all… he’s clearly very strong overall although he didn’t score some exceptional results basically since that Tour. Based on what we’ve seen recently from both Remco and Lipowitz in the high mountains, there is that question is for me: will Remco still hold a co-leader role in the Tour’s toughest climbs, or will he have to settle into more of a super domestique position?
