@RonaldCrossPeru Been there. Its very dry, but loved the city. I was very happy there by the mountains at Universitario field in 23/11/2019. La ciudad es exactamente como São Paulo, con peor tráfico y menos lluvia. Ambas son ciudades grandes, maravillosas y peligrosas.

NEW: The Board of Directors at the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) will formally change its definition of who qualifies as a journalist, to broadly exclude slain Palestinian and Lebanese journalists who worked for government-funded media outlets. Israeli, American, and Ukrainian journalists who work for state-funded outlets or are embedded with the military will remain recognized as journalists, of course. The move was catalyzed to appease the right-wing Zionist rag The Free Beacon, which has repeatedly accused Palestinian and Lebanese journalists of being undercover militants or used their political opinions or affiliations as justification for their killing by the IOF. This is a racist scandal of massive proportions for everyone involved, and it makes a mockery of the purported mission of the organization. It is absolutely abhorrent that the organization’s resources are wasted on this cowardly witch-hunt, at a moment in history that is the deadliest for journalists, especially in Palestine and Lebanon.

Tbh most Americans are fine with fascism as long as they still get brunch, Target, and Amazon Prime. And yes, it’s fucking pathetic.

I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday. 1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away. 2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark. 3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost. 4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper. 5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something. 6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won. 7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field. The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.

In just a few years, “No AI” or “Zero AI” will become a coveted badge of honour for companies, much like “eco-friendly” and “non-GMO” labels are today. Brands will proudly showcase it everywhere and charge a premium for products made entirely by humans.

You seeing the pattern yet? They're building the surveillance state with or without your permission. Infrastructure goes up first. Your rights get debated later. They don’t ask for your consent. Because they expect your compliance.

UN investigation finds Israel deliberately targeting Palestinian children to destroy biological continuity of Gaza —— A UN-backed independent inquiry has charged Israeli authorities with deliberately targeting and killing Palestinian children as a central component of an ongoing genocide in Gaza. The follow-up report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that the systemic killing, maiming, and starvation of minors establish the "genocidal intent" of Israeli security forces to erode the foundational structure of Palestinian society. The report highlights that even following the October 2025 'ceasefire,' Palestinian children continue to be killed and seriously injured by gunfire, airstrikes, and quadcopter drones. The investigative team stated that the relentless military operations have effectively "erased childhood" in Gaza through mass trauma, forced displacement, and a severe orphan crisis. Commission chair Judge Srinivasan Muralidhar noted that by targeting the youngest demographic, Israel is actively attacking the Palestinian people's capacity to exist and determine their own future. According to data cited in the inquiry, at least 20,179 children were killed and over 44,000 injured during the first two years of the genocide alone, making lifetime disability a defining demographic reality for Gaza’s next generation. The commission also documented a sharp increase in Israeli settler violence against children in the occupied West Bank, listing specific military divisions and brigades potentially responsible for these actions. The investigators have urged all UN member states to enforce immediate accountability for the documented war crimes and crimes against humanity.

This is not a normal statement from a normal cabinet member of a major nation.  This statement from Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir is the statement of a war criminal.  The racist, extremist Israeli government does not deserve one nickel of U.S. support.

The next generation of progressive politicians will stand on the shoulders of Mamdani’s moral clarity:
Acyn@Acyn

Reporter: Some members of the Jewish community, including Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer, were alarmed by the language you used at the rally last week, calling AIPAC monsters who move dark money. Mamdani: I want to be very clear. We’re talking about a status quo where children are being killed on a daily basis. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by the Israeli military since the so-called ceasefire. Even an Al Jazeera journalist, Ahmed Wishah, was killed this past Saturday by an Israeli strike. And when I am speaking about AIPAC, I’m speaking about an organization that has been supportive of the status quo, that has fought any attempt to actually deliver safety to people not just in Palestine but, frankly, throughout much of the region. And it is a status quo of immorality. It is one that I will not accept. And when it comes to the way in which they defend the status quo, oftentimes they defend it through direct contributions, as we are seeing right now in New York 13. Oftentimes they also support the status quo through dark money, by funneling money that would have previously come directly from AIPAC through other organizations whose contributors’ identities are only made clear after an election. And I think it is important that when we ask ourselves how such death and destruction is happening overseas, we also name those who allow it to take place.

They were talking on the news about how we’re going to have to adapt for a radically hotter country. They said it like it’s normal, like we are meant to just accept that all our lives have been degraded forever just so that the fossil fuel industry can earn more billions. There really should’ve been a revolution by now.
