Today is publishing day of my first book, 'Kierkegaard's Ontology.' My copies haven't arrived in the mail yet, so the waiting continues (for me, at least) until I hold the book in my hands. Until then, here's a central passage from my conclusion, in anticipation:

@mikelemoni Many of us have urged him not to keep doing this and he's dug in his heels. He now has his mentee, Josh, joining in the revelry. We've rebuked gently, ignored, rebuked harshly, and nothing works. They saw a guy make a typo yesterday and pounced on him with mockery. But that's ok

@NamorPB I don't know what "time" it is. Scripture's command to not sin is not time bound. I've not done or said anything to you - I don't know you. But you've responded poorly in our exchanges. If I tell you to overcome evil with good, I'm sure you'll say I'm piety juking.

@NamorPB Namor, I'm sure you're a nice guy. I mean that. Not trying to play games here. Hard to know if your question is sincere. You're now responding to my point about blame shifting by asking if I'm blame shifting. You've accused me of piety juking. Just not sure if you're serious.

@mikelemoni What should I tell my pastor? "There's a pastor on the internet who has a long history of mocking people and when he and his mentee did it to my friend I called him out on it. Should I have ignored it because he was older than me? Or just have been gentler with my rebuke?"

@NamorPB I'm a pastor. When I'm talking to a member of my church who deflects, blame shifts, and otherwise ignores what Scripture teaches because of *someone else*, I get concerned. I'd encourage you to talk with your pastor. Fwiw, no it's not a good example.

@mikelemoni Go up a few verses and tell him to "set the believers an example in speech". This is how he speaks on X. Good example?

@NamorPB Namor, I'm not "piety juking" you. Why are you responding defensively to a command from Scripture? Richard's sin of mockery doesn't excuse yours. I can't DM you, but if you want to have a conversation, you can DM me. Not interested in publicly scoring points for inexistent teams.
