This is obviously satire but the low death rate of COVID coupled with asymptomatic transmission is exactly what makes it so dangerous. Consider Ebola, another contagious disease but with a much higher death rate. Why wasn’t Ebola an even bigger problem than COVID?

Please stop using 2% death rate as an argument, it only leads to reduced caution. COVID has clearly shown us that low death rate does not equal low deaths, it can actually equate to significantly more deaths, plus hospital strain leading to death in patients with other conditions

It’s lower survival rate aided in its containment both epidemiologically and psychologically. The higher death rate reduces the number of secondary infections (by a few orders of magnitude). Currently, Ebola: ~11,000 deaths and COVID: ~1.5 million and counting.
