@RTEgaa @RTEBrainstorm Good effort, although a population density map without co boundarys would tell at lot more. I.e east Cork popular but west Cork not so much. Similar for smaller counties like S&E Derry v N&W Derry. Even dual countys like Wexford have less teams around the New Ross district.

@RTEgaa @RTEBrainstorm The hurlers per square km is such a pointless stat. Just reflects a county's general pop density. Hurlers per 100k population would've been far more indicative.

@Ollieingalway @rtenews As someone who is involved in the dredging of rivers, it 95% of the time doesn't work and if it does wogk, it needs constant costly maintenance on a cyclical basis. In this situation dredging would be the equivalent of removing a teaspoon of water from a bathtub.

President Higgins has been a good friend to Northern Ireland . I wouldn’t criticise his decision not to join in a commemoration of the partition of his country. I don’t see it as a discourtesy to Her Majesty, just a correct if difficult decision.

@PatricKielty Unpopular opinion but I didn't find it balanced at all. It seemed to focus exclusively on loyalism and presented NI as almost on the verge of civil war. It was obviously filmed during the summer when there was a bit of loyalist hysteria over the protocol then.
