It's completely baffling that after 2.5 years, medicine is still unable to see that a main issue with #LongCovid (and #MEcfs) is exertion intolerance. Not exercise, *exertion*, even minimal, and how it relates to post-exertional malaise (PEM), which it also cannot see yet.

A disability attorney told me that many with #LongCovid are denied benefits because their symptoms are documented in medical records as psychogenic, or due to a mental disorder. She also told me she hopes these practitioners are ready to defend these assessments in court.

That result is surely the worst of all worlds for the Tories. But much more importantly: at a time of huge challenge, it saddles the UK with an utterly lame duck PM. And for Scotland, it just underlines the democratic deficit - only 2 of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 59 MPs have confidence in the PM.
