Reflecting on the most recent crossing of a conservative member of parliament to the liberal party caucus, I am reminded by how it’s all but a game for these politicians who care about power. No clear values or integrity, and obviously not caring for the interests of the people.

Horrible news. The Liberal Government has just successfully “censored their censorship bill” by working with the separatist Bloc Quebecois to end committee debate and ram the bill through Parliament. The bill seeks to make it easier to prosecute and arrest Canadians for political and religious expression by watering down the definition of “hate speech” and removing important safeguards against abuse. We’ll continue the fight in Parliament, but there’s no way to sugar-coat the situation. This is a dark day for free speech in Canada.

The agreement doesn't change anything with respect to aboriginal title, and it doesn't say exactly where the lands with the title are... Still, perhaps the government should take the reaction that it's seeing as a warning. People are scared, and they don't need one less reason to believe Canada won't be there for them in future. These conversations are very much harming public confidence. Perhaps they are moving too quickly and need to slow down and wait for a time when the world isn't on fire.

It was not valiant THEN and it would not be valiant TODAY, nor in the future. It's bordering on domestic terrorism, and there is nothing "patriotic" about it.
