The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time.
The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more.
But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

DC Water should explain to affected Montgomery County residents and everyone in the region how they will protect us against the shockingly high levels of E. coli recorded near the C&O Canal and the Potomac River by the Potomac Riverkeeper Network. The sewage spill has generated a lot of fear and frustration among local families who live nearby these treasured waterways.
I feel grateful to the DC Water employees on the ground who are diligently working around the clock to repair the Potomac Interceptor. As I have done since January, I will keep pressing DC Water’s leadership for answers to my constituents’ pressing concerns. wtop.com/local/2026/03/…

This is a myopic take even for you guys. What decided these races more than anything was 22 million in poll tested ads most of which were about how the aipac backed candidate was “the most progressive/ the best at fighting back against Trump” not “this is the moderate”
