Day 4/90
Okay so the day was better. $951 in revenue, 19 orders, conversion rate back up to 4.65%. That's a 72% jump from yesterday. But I'm going to be honest — I think some of that was lucky orders. Sometimes you just need a little luck in your life and yesterday it showed up.
Now here's the funny part. I said I was going to lower my ad spend right? Yeah well... yesterday I spent $534. So that didn't exactly go as planned. Meta now really likes to overspend current budget even tho I try to scale down.
But the day wasn't just about running ads. I actually sat down and did proper market research yesterday. Found some new products that look promising. So today I put 3 different products into testing using my CBO strategy with minimum and maximum percentage value ad spend limits. Last time I used this setup I found my current winner pretty quickly so I'm hoping the same thing happens again.
The product I'm currently scaling is doing okay but it's not great. It's carrying the store right now and I'm grateful for that but I know it has a ceiling. That's why the testing is so important — I need to find the next winner before this one burns out.
Also made some moves with new markets. Added New Zealand to the mix and I'm going to give Canada another shot. I know I cut Canada a couple days ago but I want to test it again with better targeting. Really curious to see how these smaller markets perform.
Which brings me to a tip for anyone starting out. Everyone tries to scale in the USA because big economy, big population, makes sense right? But that also means the competition is insane. CPMs are high, everyone is fighting for the same audiences. If you're just getting started, I would honestly recommend starting with a country under 10 million people. Less competition, cheaper traffic, and you can actually learn what works without burning through your budget in two days. Once you figure out your winning formula in a small market, then you bring it to the big ones.
Today the plan is more competitor research, more product hunting. The grind doesn't stop.
Write in comments what problem you guys have and I will try to help and of course follow for more!
