As part of @mathsweek celebrations, our pupils have enjoyed getting the opportunity to put their estimation skills to the test and estimate how many sweets are in the jar. The winner of the estimation competition will be revealed tomorrow - now who said that maths wasn’t fun?

This week, we are celebrating @mathsweek .To kick things off, Mr McClean led a special Maths Assembly yesterday morning for all of our Key Stage 2 pupils. Place Value, multiplication and estimation were just some of the skills we developed through participating in fun activities!

Yesterday, our P1 & 2 welcomed Cecelia Daly from BBC NI Weather into school. We had a brilliant morning chatting all things weather and showing off our favourite weather accessories. From bikinis and sunglasses to wellie boots and umbrellas we had it all! @bbcnipress @WeatherCee

🌟TEAM MILLBURN SUCCESS🌟 Together, Team Millburn absolutely smashed the ‘Pudsey Bearpees Challenge’ and in the process raised lots of money for @BBCCiN . A target of 10,000 burpees was set, however, we smashed our target and did in excess of 11,500. What a brilliant effort!🌟

🎃 HALLOWE’EN DISCOS 🎃 What an amazing evening we all had at our Hallowe’en Disco. Fantastic costumes, top tunes and dance moves that were on point. A massive thank you must go to our wonderful Parents’ Association and dedicated staff for their support…1/2 👻🎃👻🎃👻🎃

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS🎉 Congratulations to this talented P7 pupil, Emily, who has been selected as a winner in the recent MINI UK x Crayola competition. Pupils had to create a design for a MINI Electric. The overall winner will get to see their design come to life at the MINI Plant

This morning it was the turn of our P5 parents and guardians to get in on the action as they visited our P5 classes for some numeracy fun. The support shown for our Maths Mornings has been absolutely phenomenal with well over 200 family members joining us for a numeracy lesson!

✖️➗ P6 & P7 MATHS MORNING ➕➖ This morning, we were delighted to welcome over 70 of our P6 & P7 parents and guardians into school. It was so clear that our pupils absolutely loved sharing their numeracy learning in their classrooms with family members! #millburnequalssuccess

➕➖ P1-P4 Maths Morning ✖️➗ Our pupils were so pleased to have their parents/guardians alongside them this morning whilst taking part in fun, practical numeracy activities in the classrooms. Such a great morning, the support for this event was simply phenomenal! 👏

We took in the sights along the way and enjoyed the space to collect what we needed. After a little rest on the wooden benches we started to make our way back to school. Our bags of leaves and twigs were emptied out and left to dry ready for some nature crown making. 👑

🍁🍂 Welly Walk 🍂🍁 This week Primary 2, Primary 3 and LSC went on their first welly walk of the year. After getting our wellies on, we set off to the Cornfields armed with bags to gather leaves and twigs. 1/2
