@BarackObama You should be locked in a pillory on the White House front lawn for your crimes of Sedition & Conspiracy against the United States.

@BillyBaldwin I arrived in the US in Feb '22. Couldn't get a job for a month. Then I got a union job in the bay area. In one year I got two pay raises. A year and 3 months later I got a management job. I just got a 2024 Prius on Black Friday and I'm Christmas shopping. Something is working...

Here is the problem in San Francisco. Earlier today I see a guy high as a kite, publicly intoxicated, bent over folded in half, smoking fenty (reminder, fentanyl is illegal) on Market Street in front of a smashed glass BART elevator.
Next thing you know, I see is an unmarked police SUV pull up next to him. One of the cops gets out and confronts the addict. The other cop stands and watches.
Well who does the second cop turn out to be? Yep, you guessed it, none other than the Chief of Police himself, William Scott, yep that @SFPDChief all four stars on his uniform and everything.
I figure that this guy is definitely going to jail, but what happens instead? Both cops, in uniform, turn their back after confronting the guy and just walk away, and he just keeps on smoking his fenty out in the open, in public on Market Street.
Now I do understand that Police Chief Scott is a busy guy. And I'm sure he has a lot more important things to do than dealing with some dopey street addict smoking fenty. But couldn't he have at least made a phone call or a radio call and had someone come pick this guy up?
When you can get high and smoke fentanyl right in front of San Francisco's top cop, the Chief of Police himself and get away with it, this just illustrates how bad our problem is.
Fentanyl is ILLEGAL. SFPD needs to be arresting our addicts out on the street for public intoxication and fentanyl possession. They need to then hold these addicts in jail until their trial, offering them treatment or a bus ticket out of town through San Francisco's homeward bound program as a diversion.
Just letting them continue to smoke fenty on our public streets sends the wrong message. We need to stop being tolerant of addicts using in public from our top cop on down. This guy belongs in jail or in treatment, not out on our city streets getting high. No wonder 86 people overdosed and died last month in San Francisco. San Francisco needs to do better.
