@CrossCountryUK @Kieranmill30504 Hi there thanks RF, this was giving us arrival times but has now regressed to not again and just saying delayed. Is the fault still faulty?
English

@millieross4 @Kieranmill30504 Thanks for the service, that's 25 late departing Birmingham New Street due to a door fault which has just been fixed. ^RF
English

@CrossCountryUK my train from Birmingham to Oxford was cancelled. The 6pm one says its still going, is this definitely the case. Can get a lift back but don't want to waste their time or waste ours?
English

@CrossCountryUK @Kieranmill30504 Sorry no I’m not on the train trying to track it to see whether it will come to Coventry

English

@millieross4 @Kieranmill30504 If you're outside of the station, then it'll just be waiting a platform and may be a bit delayed due to congestion. ^RF
English

@CrossCountryUK @Kieranmill30504 Hi do you know why this train hasn’t gone into Birmingham yet or whether it will?
English

@Kieranmill30504 Hi Kieran. Yes, the 1803 and 1903 departures are due to run as booked. Apologies for the cancellation. ^LA

@THoneyborne @Fusion_LS @Brockwell_Lido @BrockwellLido Completely mad. These are my friend's pics who was there to do cardio which I do not do but the machines are slowly creaking and starting to break too. This morning there weren't enough carabiners to use the cables because apparently people keep nicking them but like why???
English

@millieross4 @Fusion_LS @Brockwell_Lido @BrockwellLido Only one running machine was working when I was there last week - must have been over 100 people using facilities there at the time.
English

From Saturday morning @Fusion_LS - this is crazy @Brockwell_Lido - a sign saying fixes coming this week but I don’t believe it. In time for the AGM next Sunday which I anticipate with relish @BrockwellLido

Manchester United’s women’s team will be moved into portable buildings at the club’s Carrington training complex this season to allow the men’s squad to use the women’s building while the men’s building is being revamped. Excl. story for @guardian_sport

The language used here doesn’t reflect well. This is still an issue across the sport. The men’s teams are often described as the “first team” to those who don’t subconsciously see them on an even billing. There are two first teams at Man Utd.
Kathryn Batte@KathrynBatte
Jim Ratcliffe asked about his plans for Manchester United's women's team in an interview with Bloomberg. 'We haven't got into that level of detail with the women's team yet. We've been pretty much focused on how we resolve the first team issues.' Q: So it's TBC? JR: 'Yes'

@stuartmurphy100 @michaelmagee__ I said a cross between 'Shuggie Bain' and 'Normal People'. It is very good.
English

Just finished “Close to Home”, debut novel by Michael Magee.
Loved it. Read it in two days. Couldn’t put it down.
If it’s helpful to know, it reminded me a bit of “Young Mungo” and “Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow”
Here’s a photo of the cover

@carneliancar @HugoGordon1 Would definitely recommend A Place Called Winter then.
But yes I am also still in a period of mourning that I am not reading a book as good and have read three since and am still cross about it.
English

@millieross4 @HugoGordon1 I liked it because of the chemistry, that it was super slow burn and because of the historical aspect about it 😭 Will I ever recover?
English

@carneliancar @HugoGordon1 Or, depending on why you liked it, A Place Called Winter by Patrick Gale is amazing.
English

@millieross4 @HugoGordon1 Do you perhaps have recs for books similar to ‘in memoriam’? I just finished it and I need more stuff like this 😪
English

@carneliancar @HugoGordon1 No not really think that was why I loved it it was so different. Maybe something like The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah?
