It still baffles me how many fellow streamers act surprised or disappointed when they find out I classify all of my streams as "Sexual Content" and "Significant Profanity or Vulgarity". They act like I'm killing my channel for using the classification tags correctly, and it genuinely bothers me when I'm told I should remove them to "improve my reach and overall numbers". My streams are strictly 18+, of course I'm going to take measures to enforce that as effectively as I can. Have you HEARD some of the things I talk about on stream? My WHOLE BRAND is that I stream from a nightclub, and I'm very open and vocal about sex, kink and drink. Sometimes adults don't even want to hear about what I go on about, and that's entirely fair; The difference is I let them know in advance what they can expect from me. Am I silly for doing this? I know everyone else typically avoids using the classification tags altogether because it apparently censors thumbnails and ultimately limits reach.. What do you think?
