GOG has taken a shot at Sony's decision to stop making PlayStation game discs in 2028, reminding people why many PC gamers like DRM-free games. GOG posted on X: "Download the offline installer of any of your games on GOG, save it to a disc, and it's yours forever. You don't need a storefront's permission to play what you bought." GOG lets you download offline installers for every game you buy. That means you can back them up and install them anytime, even without the GOG launcher or an internet connection. DRM-free games, once you buy them, you can keep your own copy and play it whenever you want.

PS5 Emulator for Windows is almost here... There are now 4 PS5 emulators in development, and SharpEmu has already booted Demon's Souls Remake. It only reaches the boot screen for now, but this is a crazy breakthrough. Just seeing a PS5 exclusive boot on PC is something many people thought was still years away. People don't realize how big this is. Rockstar is going to start feeling the pressure. GTA 6 is the game everyone wants on PC, and PS5 emulation moving this fast is the last thing publishers want to see.

Key cards are not great but they are actually better than what Sony is doing. Sony is removing the option to sell, trade used games completely or to NOT have them tied to an account Key cards are NOT tied to an account, can be borrowed, sold or traded, all digital games can not on PSN. But I agree, I do NOT want devs to use them. I want full on cart games, but we need to also be honest about key cards vs all digital.

The thing is, Nintendo could have done something. For the better part of almost two decades Pokemon fans wanted an open world game where they can explore and see pokemon in the wild. They wanted to run around, catch them, battle trainers and actual players. They wanted to be able to interact with the ones they caught. Players wanted to live out the show but instead, year after year, it was the same formula being pushed out and finally someone took a majority of what people wanted over the years and made a legitimately incredible game. I had my reservations before, I never was a fan of survival/building games, but after just a hour of figuring things out I found myself loving it. Palworld, for a lot of people, is a game that takes all the good parts they enjoyed from other games and puts it all together in a complete package.

@HelloImDr3w Pokemon isn't the fault of Nintendo, the fault Is on gamefreak and TPC which Nintendo less than a third of with game freak owning most of it. Game freak can do whatever and Nintendo can't do anything outside of sending a sternly worded letter which they did with gen 9, blame GF

The GameCube was seen as a failure. Due to its failure, Iwata determined that the console arms race would lead to diminishing returns and skyrocketing development costs. 20 years later many casual people can't tell much difference between a PS4 and PS5 game and development costs are destroying publishers and studios left and right. Xbox - 24 M Gamecube - 22 M PS2 - 155 M Xbox 360 - 84 M Wii - 101 M PS3 - 87 M Xbox One - 55 M Wii U - 12 M Switch - 155 M PS4 - 120 M If you consider the OG Xbox a failure then you must also consider the Gamecube a failure. The Xbox 360 was wildly successful despite the early system failures. If the PS4 sold 55 million would you consider that a failure? The Xbox Series is on track to outsell the Xbox One. Case closed.

so the government is planning MANDATORY CHANGES to how content is discovered on YouTube in the UK. - they want YouTube to prioritise mainstream broadcasters like BBC, ITV and Channel 4 over user created content with a 'prominence regime' this is absolutely insane and is going to severely affect everyone british youtuber should this go through. YouTube have started a campaign to fight this, but we need your help to ensure this doesn't go through like this, since this could RUIN the site
