“I get the feeling there’s a very, very strong push from a lot of (Essendon) people out there to get James back." 😮👀 The axe has officially fallen on Brad Scott. And the spotlight has already turned to an Essendon move that would polarise. LATEST 👉 bit.ly/4vdcKpa

Today, I spoke with the President Herzog of Israel. I reiterated that the appalling treatment of civilians aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla was unacceptable, and that respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times. I underlined the imperative of de-escalation in the Middle East, and the importance of a genuine resumption of dialogue among all parties. Progress toward peace and stability in the region must remain the clear, shared objective.

@Fx1Jonny He's the only religious leader who was a war lord. The Koran describes him slaughtering whole towns full of infidels. Jesus turned the other cheek, Mohammed beheaded them

Prophet Muhammad has to be 1 of the most lied about personalities in human history. He’s just another punch bag for the ignorant and dishonest right wing media. When you research this man with genuine curiosity and integrity you realise he was a great leader and a very compassionate man to his people. He put his peoples safety and security above all else and in his last sermon he said we are all equal in the eyes of good even if that is Muslim against non Muslim, we are still equal. I wish people would do their own research…

@nxt888 Every society in history had slavery. The British deserve credit for being the first major country to ban it. Not only that, they actively stopped other countries engaging in it. You're welcome

If white people deserve exclusive credit for "ending slavery," then white people built the system, ran the system, defended the system, went to war to preserve the system, and then at the very last moment, after centuries of resistance from the people inside it made it unsustainable, signed the paper. And kept all the credit. That's not a legacy of moral leadership. That's a legacy of owning the pen.
Andrew Branca Show@TheBrancaShow

@nxt888 There's plenty of blame for ENGAGING in slavery all around. The only CREDIT for ENDING slavery belongs with WHITE people.

For years, Israel cultivated Hamas in order to prevent any chance of peace or a Palestinian state. After October 7, they accused those who fiercely opposed Hamas of being responsible for the attack. 😔

At the next Federal election...if you want rational sane government...the ONLY choice will be Albo and Labor. The right, who will act as a bloc, are all varying degrees of lunacy, Trumpism, anti-science, anti-medicine, conspiracy, vested interests. #auspol

So Pauline Hanson supports drilling for oil in the Great Australian Bight one of the most environmentally significant and high-risk marine regions in the world for offshore drilling. A major oil spill in the Bight would not be some temporary “environmental issue” that disappears after a few news cycles. The damage could last for decades, devastating marine ecosystems, coastal communities and industries that people rely on to survive. The Bight is home to southern right whales, Australian sea lions, dolphins, sharks, seabirds and countless unique marine species found nowhere else on Earth. Once ecosystems like these are damaged, many cannot simply be restored. And it’s not just wildlife at risk. Thousands of Australians depend on healthy oceans for their livelihoods from commercial fisheries and aquaculture to tourism operators and small coastal businesses. A large spill could shut down fisheries, contaminate seafood, destroy tourism and wipe out regional economies that are already doing it tough. The Great Australian Bight is also known for extreme weather, massive swells and remote conditions, making any clean-up operation incredibly difficult. If something went wrong, there is no guarantee the damage could even be contained before spreading across huge sections of coastline. Then there’s the cultural impact. The ocean and coastline are deeply connected to Aboriginal Sea Country, cultural practices and generations of knowledge tied to these environments. Damage to these areas is not just environmental or economic it is cultural and spiritual too. And all of this risk is being taken so multinational corporations and billionaire mining interests can extract even more fossil fuels while the world is already dealing with climate disasters, warming oceans and environmental decline. Once a place like the Bight is damaged, you cannot simply put it back the way it was. That’s the gamble being supported risking one of Australia’s most precious environments to help line the pockets of billionaire mates. Great priorities. 😒
