In June 2020, my very healthy stepdad received a cancer diagnosis. Because of remote work due to Covid, my brother and I + our families were able to essentially move in, to team-parent our littles and team-care for our dad, who died peacefully at home on 7/29/20.

Not because I’m dumb or lazy. But because information doesn’t lead to transformation. Cramming more info about money into your head, through podcasts, blogs, or free masterclasses, isn't going to protect you from the human reality that you will make a financial mistake.

We know a lot of things, but we don’t necessarily do them. I know I shouldn’t scroll on my phone in bed I know I should rinse out my plastic containers before tossing them in recycling bins I know I should wash my face before bed (hides in shame 🫣) But I don’t always do them

🏠 The first letter writer asks how to support their family and practice prioritizing themselves financially. 💳 The second letter writer is a small business owner who wants to know how to set boundaries with family and friends who ask them for discounts.

There’s been a lot of dialogue around the “therapy-speak” and “theripification” of our society. One of these therapy terms? “Boundaries.” While I love how many people use boundaries to practice self-preservation, some people use the term “boundary” to be straight-up mean. 🧵
