autistic people are good at pattern recognition and unfortunately sometimes it means i get anxious about things that people don’t understand, but then it turns out that i was right to be anxious, which actually sucks because it reinforces my anxiety.

All the hate against vgen kind of bums me out, Ive been using them since batch 8 of their beta and its been a game changer for me personally. I feel like theyve addressed every concern too, they implemented mandatory refunds after 2 years to combat ghosting, they added disclaimers to new messages to combat scammers, they added artist reviews & responses to combat bad clients and purposefully damaging reviews. Theyre not perfect but theyre already so much safer and better than fiverr. Obviously its good to point out the negatives to help them improve but we also need to recognize & appreciate the positives

if you’re a creative, you need to teach your nervous system how to create without threat. you will not create any meaningful art if your brain thinks everything is high stakes at all times. take some time every few days to work on an idea for 20 to 50mins without any interruptions. the rules are: you cannot restart, you cannot perfect, and you cannot evaluate. your potential cannot be milked out of pressure, it can only flow from expression, repetition, consistency… that is why drafts are your best friends. not everything needs to be seen!

nobody talks about how a regulated nervous system is the ultimate luxury for neurodivergent people. not a vacation. not a raise. just… not feeling like everything is an emergency.

i think autistic people are often mistaken for being argumentative and needing to be right, when in reality, it's more about needing the information to be CORRECT... because we get overwhelming anxiety when we're convinced that it isn't.

Neurodivergent girls will sabotage their own rest because the quiet at night feels more peaceful than the pressure of the day
