@AIandDesign @Meta Being an enthusiast, what kind of future for AI did you have in mind? I am not asking that sarcastically, I am actually asking, because I can't think of any other way this would have gone.

I'm not gonna lie, the @Meta layoffs are some of the most dystopian I've ever seen. They got told to work from home, they were sent the emails at 4AM in the morning. Those who weren't impacted have software on their computer that tracks their every move, preparing AI to take their job as well. They're literally training the AI that will eliminate their position as well. Meanwhile, Meta is raking in RECORD PROFITS. I am a massive, unapologetic AI enthusiast. Yet, this is NOT the future I had in mind. I wish for Meta to crash and burn. This is not the way. Literally nobody benefits from this.

Not to be dramatic but I really think we’re underreacting to how fucking stupid everyone is.

This is an unprecedented level of corruption. Trump is forcing the government to drop ALL tax audits of him, his family, and his businesses—giving him FULL IMMUNITY from prosecution. What is Trump hiding from the American people? Congress must step up and stop this corruption.

Trump sued his own IRS for $10 billion over leaked tax returns.. then settled with his own DOJ.. and the settlement created a $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded fund to compensate his political allies the president filed the lawsuit.. the president's DOJ settled it.. the president's allies collect the money.. and you're paying for it the fund covers Jan 6th defendants.. Mar-a-Lago raid claims.. the Russia investigation.. anyone who says they were a victim of "lawfare" can file a claim and get a check they named it the "Anti-Weaponization Fund".. and made the number $1.776 billion.. they even made the corruption patriotic in 1974 Nixon resigned for using government agencies against political enemies.. in 2026 the government is cutting checks to political allies and calling it justice

Everyone is mad at Mark Cuban, but I'm not. He has worked harder to lower the cost of prescription drugs for everyday Americans than anyone in politics. He is trying to do more. We're in a weird era where a guy gets publicly shamed for running his sprinklers on a Tuesday, while a data center the size of a Costco quietly drains a reservoir so AI can generate a picture of your cat as a medieval knight. And the data center gets a tax incentive for it.

Since Mike Johnson says members of Congress don't make enough money with just their salaries, may I suggest: - Dialing back on those streaming subscriptions - Reducing your cell phone plan - Taking public transportation - Eating cheaper cuts of meat - Eating in more often - Turning off the lights when you're not in the room - Getting a part-time job at Walmart - Growing a f-cking spine and stop whining Signed, Everyone trying to eke out a living in your shitty economy
