Challenge: Name something that a software developer should *always* do.
Is there a single practice that always applies?
"Write tests". Not always worth it.
"Do code reviews". May pair instead.
"Set up a CI server". Overkill when working alone.
I can only think of 2 practices that I'd always apply:
1. Use source control. Even when working alone. Even on a small project. It's hard to imagine a circumstance where I would recommend skipping it.
2. Auto-format. If your language has a tool like Prettier, use it. I can't think of a good reason to spend time manually formatting code.

I kid you not, this is our $150 @Coles grocery delivery. Checked the cameras, the driver dropped off 2 empty bags.

If @buildkite were to change the default pipeline config language from YAML to (something)… what should it be?

@mipsytipsy +1 to TBD (typical reason: we need audit trial of someone click the merge button), paring cannot replace PR (similar reason as above) and CD (typical reason: segregate if duty so the person who did the work cannot be the person deploying the work) 🥲

@mini_inny This is my second time around with Obsidian (didn't take the first time) and I've had more time to spend with it. I'm getting by mainly with core + a few community plugins (Banners, Tasks, Calendar, Templater) and mainlining lots of videos from @FromSergio" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@FromSergio

Just pushed a Chrome extension that brings the 🧨 of #ChatGPT to the #AWS #CloudWatch Logs Insights console.
Simply explain what data you want back and you'll get a (best effort) insights query. You'll often need to make tweaks, but it does a good job saving you a lot of typing/googling.
