@Anthvnyperez @MurkFPSHub I genuinely don’t understand these “optimisation” tweaks that people pay for. Can someone tell me what the point is? You are only playing on low at 1080p and have a RTX 5070 and a 9950X3D, these numbers are pretty standard for that spec. Your monitor is also only 240Hz anyway!

@renee The new setup looks great! I probably would have gone for a liquid AIO as they are no fuss and simple to install but if the air cooler works then great! I have a 9850X3D and just like your CPU, it likes to run super hot! I rarely see over 70c whilst gaming using a 360mm AIO.

I've been procrastinating putting this Thermalright cooler in my PC for a whole ass year but I finally did it and installed new fans.

@MasonReact @DrewJuarez Your post makes no sense, you talk about plugging in directly into the motherboards blue or red ports for the “fastest speed” which will be USB 3.0 and then recommend a cable that is only rated for USB 2.0. Not to mention most controllers generally only support USB 2.0 anyway.

@MurkFPSHub Does most of your optimisation involve simply lowering the graphics and texture quality? I’ve tried your config for Black Ops 6 and 7 and everything was set to low or off. This seems very obvious if you want a higher fps but of course you lose graphical fidelity in return

I post a lot of benchmark screenshots so thought I'd show an in game example for a change. 9850x3D / 5080 build at 1440p built and tuned by myself for @Spamgola. Yes that's a 5080 🚀 First min is Haven's Hollow second min is Rebirth.

@MurkFPSHub @KingZac_ I have a 9850X3D and RTX 5070, getting around 150fps in Black Ops 6. I don’t play Black Ops 7. Do you have a config for BO6 by any chance? I’m curious

@astrrixbtw This isn't exactly true and depends on your audio setup. If you are listening to hi-res audio at 24bit/96kHz from @qobuz for example then you have actually downgraded your bit depth and sample rate, not upgraded. Maybe stick to optimising PC's and not giving out bad advice dude

Windows has been quietly degrading your audio since day one. Right-click your sound icon → Sound Settings → select your playback device, then make these three changes: Set the format to 16-bit (or highest available), 48000 Hz — disable audio enhancements — disable spatial sound (Windows Sonic stacked on top of in-game 3D audio is just two algorithms fighting each other). Applies to every headset, speaker, and IEM. Thirty seconds to fix.
