Polymarket has US strikes on Iran by March 31 at 57.5%. I think that's too low. Closer to 68%. 🇺🇸🇮🇷
Here's what people are sleeping on.
The US moved 108 air tankers to CENTCOM. That's not posturing, that's logistics for a sustained air campaign. You don't deploy that kind of package and quietly bring it home. Either those assets get used or Trump has to explain why he backed down, and the Atlantic Council is clear on this: he will not accept looking weaker than Obama.
Trump issued a two-week deadline for a nuclear deal last week. No one serious expects Khamenei to deliver anything meaningful. Iran is in the worst shape they've been in decades. Syria fell, Hezbollah got degraded by Israel, the economy is in freefall, the IRGC is tied up crushing domestic protests.
Their deterrence is thinner than it's ever been.
The timing is what makes March 31 the right window. Ramadan ends March 19. Every credible analysis from the Atlantic Council, Jerusalem Post, and Responsible Statecraft identifies the days right after as the most likely strike moment.
That gives Trump 12 days between Ramadan ending and this market resolving. Wide window for limited strikes on IRGC targets, which is exactly the "Enforce" scenario the Atlantic Council predicts.
Then there's the Netanyahu factor. If Trump hesitates on the deal, Israel acts alone. They already did it in June 2025 and Trump followed. That path leads to YES on this market no matter what Trump decides.
Why not higher than 68%? Because Trump doesn't want a full war. His people have said it repeatedly. June 2025 proved it. He struck, Iran fired missiles at Qatar, and he pivoted to "peace and harmony" within hours. He wants the hit, the symbolic Iranian response, and the victory lap. All of that still counts as strikes.
All of that still resolves YES.
The main NO scenario is a last-minute deal that nobody currently expects, or Trump letting his own deadline slide without consequences. Both are possible but neither is likely given the assets already deployed and the political corner he's painted himself into.
