I’m thinking this morning about all the people I spoke to last year - including fellow leftists and Muslims - who were absolutely convinced, and tried to convince me, that Trump would be antiwar and isolationist compared to Biden and Harris. In the past week alone he has attacked Nigeria and then Venezuela and also threatened to attack Iran (for the second time.) Sigh.

This is exactly what happened in Canada. The bill was originally only for terminal illness. When expanded to include disabled people, they removed the safeguard that meant doctors couldn’t “suggest it” Now many disabled people have death offered in lieu of care.
