To be loved is to be changed ❤️‍🩹 Boris lived on the street for years, in pain, ignored. He was tired and out of energy, he'd given up. In the past 6 weeks, he's become a different cat. Happy, purring, zooming and playing. This is why I do it, this is all that matters to me.

I just found out that in 2015, the Los Angeles SPCA gave their annual National Hero Dog award to a tabby cat named Tara. Yes, you read that right, a cat was given a dog award. It remains the first and only time a feline has ever won the title. A year earlier in Bakersfield, USA, four-year-old Jeremy Triantafilo was riding a bicycle in his driveway when a neighbor's dog escaped and went after him. The animal grabbed the boy by the leg and started pulling him down the pavement. Before anyone else could react, Tara sprinted across the yard and body-slammed the much larger canine. She chased the intruder down the street to make sure it was gone, then immediately ran straight back to check on the four-year-old.

Something rather spectacular happened yesterday… I reached the sea far beyond my little home. Requiring frequent horizontalness is not travel friendly usually, but yesterday… yesterday I took a train (or two) to Hastings with my wonderful PA. I’ve become immune to the funny stares from others, so taking a lay down at Charing Cross was really no biggy! 😂 My world sometimes feels suffocating, but today, I can breathe…

If I'm honest did I think I'd really be tucking Rocky into bed looking this cozy for his fourth night with us? I really didn't. Look at the way his whole body shape and confidence is changing. Many tough days ahead but we’ll take this for now as the win that it is ❤️

A 27-year-old man's cat is already 23 years old. Every time the man comes home, he's greeted by his 23-year-old "old housekeeper". This moment is truly priceless!

I did sleep great worrying about Rocky. I was 50/50 if he’d be alive. He was awake and waiting for his breakfast. That’s all I hoped for yesterday. One more day. Now we’ll try and get another day and take it from there 🙏
