I haven't played diablo 4 since release (2023) and it was my first ever diablo game would it be overwhelming to jump straight into this new season? does it have catch up mechanics at all?

Finally rolled credits on the Diablo 4 expansion. Some quick thoughts as a Path of Exile 2 player: - Good story, enjoyed it a bunch - Much better boss fights than core + VOH, Mephisto and Inarius were faves - Paladin skills are cool, I like the leap - Combat still does not hook me, feels janky - Not a fan of the open world - I miss pause + saving where I am like in PoE 2, I had to redo a bunch of quests due to my lovely family ;) - Wardrobe system is peak, GGG please take notes from Blizzard - Environments are fascinating but you kinda zoom through them on your horse - I see why D4 has campaign skip, I cannot see really wanting to play that campaign again even though I liked the story, too many unskippable dialogue/travel sequences Now, onward to the endgame and War Plans...100% blind. This should be interesting.

If you're having gold issues in Diablo 4 Lord of Hatred, sell your extra seals to the merchant for gold instead of salvaging them. However, don’t overdo it, you’ll need the dust from salvaging to reroll seal affixes at the cube and you can even get greater affixes!

@ColbeyGross @TalkativeTri True but poe2 isn’t that great. A lot of issues. Loot is still a problem. Random insta deaths with zero explanation. 1 portal in high tier maps. Zero loot. Xp loss because of bullshit one shot insta death. Did I mention the loot is trash?

I was only able to play 20 minutes of the new Diablo 4 expansion but I’m already beaming. My biggest problem with the core D4 story and VoH, addressed in this time. Beautiful. Sorry, not sorry.

@ColbeyGross @TalkativeTri Man I just hope they just strike the balance between that type of gameplay and blasting maps. So many builds feel absolutely miserable and pointless.

@TalkativeTri Poe2 is going to feel amazing after playing D4 for a month. Being able to dodge while im animation on poe2 feels so much better than D4
