We're an imprint of Placeholder Press, and honestly it's a lot of work and money to maintain multiple websites

Update on website: it looks like we're going to fully relocate to the @readplaceholder website for the foreseeable future, we're going to start transferring content over there as after the virus destroyed our website renewal of our domain turns out to be really expensive

(I see the typo and I am ignoring it 🙂)

We are looking to connect with working class writers and artists interested in exploring the gothic. Wea are especially interested in connecting with BIPOC working class creators who explore, or would like to explore, the gothic.

What we're looking to do is make contact with people we may want to include in issue 2, and steadily build the book from there on a "it's ready when it's ready basis" - likely a year or more from now.

This is for a long term project that will likely not come to fruition for a fair while. If you have noticed we have not been been especially active, this is because I have a 5-month old and am doing my masters at the same time.

Bare with us while we sort this mess out. Over the weekend we'll be making the PDF free over on the @readplaceholder website & uploading digital content. it'll likely be a while until our website is restored

Just an FYI - our website has a virus and may need to be rebuilt from scratch. We've been considering consolidating back into @readplaceholder website anyway, but if you'd like to a copy of issue 1 please refer to their shop

The more iconic ‘modern classics’ I read the more convinced I become that the emphasis on plot in contemporary books is a recent artifice and one we can do away with. The key to longevity is VIBES.

Also, Ally was super supportive in the lead up to our first book - which was a huge boost in those hard days of editing & designing leading up to print day.

Just ordered a copy of this which I've been waiting a while for! Excited to dig in.
