I am banning Wasps, Bees, Snow, flatulence and the wild Peacock that keeps appearing as they are all forms of classroom distraction that have caused way more bother than mobile phones in our school.

@missjoyner_ @_MissieBee You start with mat leave, usually until all enhanced pay is finished, then swap to SPL. Any of the 39 paid weeks that you haven't used become SPL and are paid at the same statutory rate

A little bit of a different start for me this term in Year 5, instead of Year 7. I'm shattered but absolutely loving it. I always wanted to be a Year 5 teacher and I have the absolute, most fantastic team of teachers and TAs surrounding me. So excited for the rest of this year!

Any ideas for end of year gifts for a Year 7 class? I made them bookmarks at Christmas so would like to do something different but still spend as little as possible! All ideas greatly appreciated! They are my first class 🥰

@Sue_Cowley Yes, coats allowed as long as they are not used instead of a jumper.

I'm assuming schools are letting kids wear coats in class atm, in order to help keep them warm with the windows being open?
