honestly i feel like the need to play SNES games at a higher fidelity has at least some potential to it IF IT WAS DONE CORRECTLY however our only exposure to this technology are emulator filters that make the game look like cream cheese

I've seen a lot of negative responses to this but to me its a game changer with a weak first impression Higher res sprites on SNES games has huge potential, like imagine a native Mario World texture pack that looks like the 2D art or a Render96 style DKC pack. This is incredible

When they removed the side taskbar option, it made the Windows Ultra-wide experience so frustrating, that I can only be bitter and cynical Spending YEARS dealing with the OS freaking out from registry hacks to bring it back: wont heal wounds anytime soon HDR is still shit too..
Zac Bowden@zacbowden

BREAKING: Microsoft just announced several major changes to Windows 11 in an effort to win back user trust and evolve the platform into something people will actually want to use over macOS and Linux! It's a huge announcement that addresses Windows 11's biggest problems today, tackling core fundamental issues such as unreliable system performance, UX consistency, AI bloat and general enshittification. Microsoft has confirmed that this year, it WILL be reducing where ads and Copilot appear throughout the system, including in Start, Widgets, Notepad, Photos, and more! File Explorer and Windows Search will be upgraded with improved performance and capabilities that make finding apps and files much faster and easier. The OS will become lighter with less RAM and system utilization at idle, making it smoother to run on low end hardware with limited memory. These improvements will also benefit high-end PCs too. Windows Update will be improved with more granular controls and the ability to postpone updates for longer, along with reducing how often the OS needs to restart to install an update. Microsoft has also confirmed that it's bringing back fan favourite features such as the ability to move the Taskbar! It's also working to update more areas of the system shell with modern WinUI designs, which should make Windows 11 feel more coherent and complete. There's much more in the announcement, and it honestly all sounds too good to be true. Microsoft really is listening to feedback, and is eager to make Windows the BEST desktop OS on the market. More details including when these changes will arrive in the link! windowscentral.com/microsoft/wind…

The Roblox lock-in is so detrimental it’s cult-like. Lists every feature that benefits himself, the “developers”; pampered labourers. comes bold from a career that’s one Trust & Safety lawsuit away from perishing by the minds who made him and these “features” possible under kids.

Oh please. It's not a binary decision. Roblox isn't in a "good bucket" or "bad bucket". Anybody thinking like this has a caveman brain and believes everything is life or death. (It's not!) Roblox went public in 2021. Since then we've had... + Voicechat release. + Black Friday sales are back. + Playstation launch. + Events return. + Display Names. + Avatar item scale and positioning. + Free audio uploads. + Faster loading and bigger games. + UGC accessories. + Forums for Group pages. + Friend Limit increase to 1,000. + New languages and countries, translation. + Regional Pricing. + Video uploading for games. + Today's Picks. + 4K Texture support. + UGC Emotes. + Oof sound and more. So no. It's not a matter of "defending". It's a matter of looking at the bigger picture and realizing "wait a second, kids have been whining about Roblox updates since I joined in 2008" and Roblox going public doesn't change that. I don't agree with every change, I'm not a caveman throwing Roblox in the good bucket, just like I'd hope you're not a caveman throwing Roblox in a bad bucket. Do this and you're a loser. A whiner. And the whining gets old even if you are right. One day you'll grow up and see this too.

Hi @Simon_Hypixel , would you switch to a federated platform like Bluesky? You actually have the following and power to build a stage for others. X is about to get banned in the UK, its infrastructure crumbling, and there’s no way to preserve conversations happening on here.

@Ofcom It goes without saying that it requires investigation, regardless of their response. To break it down, Grok, created by Elon Musk, is producing child pornography and distributing it. Last time I checked, that is a crime. Do your damn jobs and stop this.

Did you know that PSVR2 has eye tracking just like the Valve headset? It also has a much better OLED panel and HDR, and you can play every PS5 game on a virtual screen in the headset, and 400 VR games including GT7, RE4 Remake, RE8, Hitman trilogy and soon MS Flight Sim.

Leviathan: Lord of the Labyrinth. This was supposed to be a standalone creation for fun, but now it's going to be part of my horror game. You have no idea how fucking amazing this looks in VR. And yes, this labyrinth is gigantic and a lot to explore. #MadeInDreams
