🇪🇸 The Trump administration is investigating the euthanasia death of gang rape victim Noelia Castillo Ramos and has criticized Spain over alleged “human rights failures.” The U.S. State Department instructed its embassy in Madrid to examine how Spanish authorities handled repeated sexual assaults against Castillo prior to her death. Officials were also directed to convey Washington’s “serious concerns” about “systemic human rights failures” that led her to seek assisted suicide and allowed the procedure to go ahead, reportedly even after she expressed hesitation in her final hours.

She was in her bed the whole time. Paulette Gebara Farah was a 4-year-old disabled girl who vanished from her bedroom in Mexico City in 2010, sparking one of the country's most shocking and baffling cases. On the night of March 21, 2010, Paulette returned home with her father and sister after a weekend trip. Her mother, Lizette Farah, tucked the girls into bed as usual. But the next morning, Paulette was gone. There were no signs of a break-in or struggle. Doors and windows were locked, and security cameras showed no one leaving with the child. Paulette had physical impairments and a language disorder, meaning she could not have left alone. A massive search was set in motion, turning into a media frenzy across Mexico, with flyers distributed, billboards put up, and advertisements on TV and public transport. Police even brought in search dogs. Over 100 people had been in her room searching for her. More disturbingly, friends and family had slept in her bed during that time and noticed nothing. During the nine-day window, the bedroom was searched by investigators on multiple occasions, yet no one found her. Her body was ultimately discovered on March 31 due to the smell of putrefaction. Paulette's body was found in her own room, wrapped in sheets between the mattress and the foot of the bed, the same room where her mother had given TV interviews. A week into the search, authorities placed both parents and the two nannies under a restriction order due to inconsistencies in their testimonies. A recording was released in which Paulette's mother appeared to instruct her other daughter not to say anything about Paulette's disappearance so they would not be blamed. No charges were ever filed against Paulette's parents. Investigators ultimately disavowed their suspicions after the coroner's report found Paulette had died by accidental asphyxiation. The case was reignited a decade later when it became the focus of a Netflix series in 2020. The truth, to this day, remains disputed.

It's time to say goodbyes. Take care. Remember that every life matters, every person is valuable and special. Try to tolerate others. Try to be good and kind. Do your part for the better future. Love is the key and the answer. Life is a journey. Try to value and appreciate little things. Be grateful. Learn. Life can be hard, but those moments make us turn to God. Hold God's hand and trust Him. God wins. Blessings. I hope that you are happy.
