@cb_doge @grok is this a real Elon Musk quote? And if so what does he mean by AI being more dangerous than nukes? (What could possibly be more dangerous than nukes?)

@WallStreetMav That’s unfortunate you found your business school to be a waste of money - I found my mba to be quite helpful in learning to read financial statements and public filings, and learn about corporate strategy & M&A - from some top profs at Schlich business school in Toronto.

Most people are coming to the realization that many university degrees are worthless, or at least not worth 4 years of your productive life and not worth $100,000 to $200,000 in debt. Looking back at your degree, was it worth it? Or was it just a good time for a few years? Would you do it again? My degree was a complete waste of money (business school) and I ended up in a career that didn’t require it at all.

2/ More broadly, political correctness has evolved to include suppressing any extremes of masculinity OR feminity or other metrics - all the kinds of (weird) ppl who made big things happen historically.

@TheRabbitHole @SkepResCenter Indeed - growth depends on competition, which historically was not as diplomatic/collaborative as capitalism has allowed it to become - via our great modern business and social structures/systems, including capital/equity markets.

Totally - many people actually believe capitalism is a bad thing 😵‍💫 (when capitalism and free markets are actually mankind’s greatest creation, and are directly responsible for the spawning of billions of new human lives, and for lifting many millions more out of poverty).

Or the 3rd option: breed MORE cows and increase emissions, a metric that is directly correlated to the well being of humans - with an exception being major industrial hot spots where emissions affect humans’ ability to breathe and must be mitigated/controlled (not farms).
redpillbot@redpillb0t

Bill Gates: “Cows make 6% of global emissions.” “You can either fix the cows, or make beef without the cow.” That’s the conversation now: not about farming, not about land use — but redesigning the cow itself.

@WallStreetMav @DarrellSto67629 Yes agreed, but they can be put to work building mines - and could end up paying off (provided Canada pivots to incentivizing natural population growth through pro-natal policies moving forward, instead of immigration).

Canada would have a much higher standard of living if they had only 30 million people instead of 42 million people. Literally nothing was gained by allowing 10 million people from the 3rd world to migrate to Canada over the past 30 years. Every economic metric has trended worse for Canada, especially over the past 10 years.

@Divya114433agl We have no choice but to cut spending. And as Mr. Friedman implies here - taxes must also be cut.

@mitch_v True, but what spending cuts would actually stick in today's politics? Any historical examples where governments successfully paired tax hikes with permanent austerity?
