@johanejohansson I think people are still going to be disappointed by iPad despite these changes. They don’t fix fundamental flaws with iPadOS especially the mediocre app support. Although maybe this excitement will attract devs, but I doubt it.

@mitchell209 Yeah same. I planned to kit out my iPad Air and use for portable needs but after giving it a shot I eventually gave up, sold my Mac Mini and got myself an M3 MacBook last year instead to cover everything except couch surfing.

@johanejohansson It’s clearly change for the sake of change and that’s boring to me nowadays. The iPad update is great but I’ve already adjusted and purchased an old M1 MacBook last year, so now upgrading my 1st gen iPad Pro would be wasteful.

@mitchell209 Yep. iOS 7 was extreme but it was a bold vision that fundamentally changed the OS and laid the groundwork for iPhone X, with swipe gestures and multiple layers of depth for one. This feels like it’s an ideologically driven change that doesn’t serve a real purpose in many cases.

Tech reviewers are massively under-selling the new AirPods 4 with noise canceling.
I might even sell my AirPods Max.
Last night, I mowed the lawn with these in, and they canceled the sound ~80%. Didn’t have to raise the volume much to hear.
The silicone tips of APP have never fit my ears so this is super exciting.
