@alc2022 @alc2022 Do people also underestimate Apple's ability to play a significant role in solving for AI at the edge with Apple Silicon?

The big problem with everything legal I’ve ever done is MS Word and redlines. Legal needs a github - markdown, diffable, mergeable, etc. I’m sure everything changes with AI, but if legal collaboration is still emailing fucking docx files around, I tell you thats not the answer.
Brad Smith@BradSmi

Today we’re introducing a new Legal Agent in @Microsoft Word, built to support the precision and rigor legal work demands. Every clause matters. Every redline tells a story. That’s why this agent was built to follow the structured workflows lawyers use while keeping them fully in control. Early in my career, I asked for a computer on my desk because I believed technology could change how lawyers work. It did. Today, I believe this next generation of tools will do the same, grounded in trust and responsible use.

@homegymcoop Love the idea — and public cold plunges in a community barrel is a non-starter for me unless the water is meticulous maintained. Too hard to control people who choose to get in at varying sweat/cleanliness levels. Coming from someone who plunges daily at home.

First, I respect Ron Nored and feel he would be a great D1 HC, but his FIRST opportunity should not be a Big East P5 school, especially when he has not held ANY position in one place for more than 2-3 years. • Brownsburg HS (HC): 1 season •Maine Red Claws / Celtics org: ~2 years total (assistant/dev roles) •Northern Kentucky (assistant): 1 season •Long Island Nets (HC): 2 seasons ← longest HC run •NBA assistant roles (Hornets, Pacers, Hawks): mostly 2–3 year stretches each Ron Nored’s longest stint as a head coach is 2 years… in the G League. Zero D1 HC track record. This isn’t the moment for “potential.” It’s the moment for proof! Please hire a known, proven D1 head coach that already has had a winning track record at this level. I know Ron really wanted the job last go around, and he had many impressive people promoting him. PR campaign was in overdrive. Let’s not get caught up in a PR blitz, but focus on getting a winner already at this level.

@ButlerBBHQ If you want a settle for a home run. Hire Steele or someone similar. Might win some games, just like he kind of did at Xavier. If you want to roll the dice on a grand slam, hire Nored. x.com/scottagness/st…

Four years later and this story is still true: Butler has a job opening -- and Ronald Nored would love the opportunity. Myles Turner: "NBA players have loved working with em & I know he can get the program back rockin!" fieldhousefiles.com/p/nored-to-but…

I will say this. We can’t afford to take a chance on someone who hasn’t proven themselves already as a D1 head coach with NIL experience. Wish we were in a position to take chances, but this hire must be a home run.

I’ve seen people compare Caleb Wilson to Jermaine O’Neal and I’ve also seen him compared to Pascal Siakam. While both are great players, I don’t feel like their games are all that similar. So, the comparisons to me are a little confusing. FWIW, I see more Pascal than JO.

I've been running this exercise with my team at @UiPath. It sounds simple but it forces a hard question: when AI can handle so much of the execution, what roles actually matter? The answer keeps coming back to the same place. What matters most is what AI is worst at. Taste. Judgment. A point of view earned through experience. LLMs are the average of everything they've been trained on. I've been trying to write a book using them and the style is bland. It's the "yes" style. They don't have a personality. I believe that in order to have taste you need to have a body. You need to grow through experiences. Emulating someone else's personality is not your style.

It's taken $DUOL Radio 2 quarters to go from 2M to 5M DAUs. At this rate, they'll have 100M DAUs in just 7 quarters. And ~200M DAUs one quarter after that.
