संविधान दिवस केवल एक तारीख़ नहीं यह भारत की उस आत्मा का उत्सव है जो हमें ‘विविधता में एकता’ की ताक़त देती है। डॉ. अंबेडकर और संविधान-निर्माताओं को नमन, जिन्होंने हमें ऐसा संविधान दिया जो हर नागरिक की इज़्ज़त, बराबरी और आज़ादी की गारंटी है।

My children are not allowed to speak on the phone to their father @ImranKhanPTI. He has been in solitary confinement in prison for nearly 2 years. Pakistan’s government has now said if they go there to try to see him, they too will be arrested and put behind bars. This doesn’t happen in a democracy or a functioning state. This isn’t politics. It’s a personal vendetta.

Stopping a father from speaking to his children, & threatening to imprison those children if they try to see him — this cannot happen in any civilized democracy. It’s an assault on the very principles of humanity, compassion, & family.

In the last few days, my sons’ cousins, Shahrez & Shershah (Aleema Khan’s sons), have been abducted from their homes in front of their young children & held in prison. Their other cousin Hassan Niazi, has been held in a military prison for over a year. The government has also threatened my sons Sulaiman and @Kasim_Khan_1999 with arrest if they travel to Pakistan to visit their father. No state should be allowed to target families to settle political scores.

@Jemima_Khan Deeply saddened to hear this, Jemima Mam. No family—regardless of political differences—should have to endure such pain and fear. The targeting of relatives to settle political or ideological scores is inhumane and against every principle of justice and democracy.
