@RealRRothschild @World_Affairs11 Sure. He can sack them. And they can then say what idiots the President and the "Secretary of War" are. You're a slow learner. They've had to sack so many now, who have all said the same thing.

Trump has every right to fire Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George. This is the same general who got his top job under Biden, served Biden’s agenda, and now reportedly can’t get on board with the new Commander-in-Chief. An hour after his resignation is announced, leaks fly claiming he called Trump a 'madman' who’ll ruin the military? Classic. Presidents get to pick their military leadership. Civilian control of the military isn’t optional, it’s the foundation of the Republic. Trump won the election. He doesn’t have to keep Biden’s chosen generals who drag their feet or badmouth him behind the scenes. Time to install leaders who are loyal to the Constitution and the elected President not to the prior administration or the DC blob. This is Trump draining the Pentagon swamp. Fully support it. 🇺🇸

@PoliticoKen @MikeLevin Yeh, right. People who may need to go to war are keen to recommend someone who wears fishnet stocking as a qualification for fighting and preparing for war alongside them. Get real.

@mjpwelly @MikeLevin Just because someone is recommended it doesn't equal qualified. The most qualified are getting promotions irrespective of physical traits. Besides, men can identify as women, right?! What is a woman?!!

The Army Chief of Staff, a combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked Pete Hegseth why he was blocking the promotions of two Black officers and two female officers who had earned them. Hegseth refused to answer. Then he fired him. Nine U.S. officials told NBC News that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military. Hegseth has now fired or sidelined more than a dozen generals and admirals. He is an out-of-control, unqualified former TV host and nobody in the Republican Party will say a word about it because they don’t want to make Trump angry. nbcnews.com/politics/natio…

@PoliticoKen @MikeLevin This administration is DEI on dopamine, discriminating against recommended women and colored candidates to exclude them from promotion. Hegseth's racism and misogyny is obvious. A small minded, loud mouthed, unqualified, dangerously incompetent idiot with extreme prejudice.

@MikeLevin You must be qualified to enjoy a promotion. Race should not even be mentioned as it has zero relevance to one's ability, to perform or not perform, a role. DEI is dead and this administration has not been shy about it, thank God!

@Garrett20001034 @tanjillhasmii @drpezeshkian Your limited understanding means you get led by the nose by Israel, to fund them killing its neighbors and taking their land. You are dumb enough to do it for them much of the time. Hamas et al are a response to US sponsored Israeli aggression.

The US position to my limited understanding, is to support our ally, Israel. We are bombing the Islamic republic and their forces. It is absolutely evident the IR goal was to get nukes to protect their territory and just dump as much money as possible into hamas, hezbollah, the youths, whoever and attack Isreal at will and sit back " can't touch us we'll nuke someone". I honestly don't think they probably would have ever nuked anyone, just used it to protect them from repercussions from funding terror groups. We did sanction them, it didn't work, they didn't care about the country, the people, just get a nuke. I totally get why they would want one, I also get why lots of others would not want them to. What Russia would have just sat by if their goal was to destroy Belarus, maybe, maybe not.

Will the damn Chinese step the fuck up? Only China can provide the security guarantee to Iran. What use is all this power if you’re simply unwilling to use it for the production of global public goods? Can China graduate from being a consumer of international order to a producer of it? It is Chinese cowardice that this dragging the world into a great depression. “Iran’s president reiterated that his country was open to ending the war, but only if it receives “guarantees” that US-Israeli aggression will not be repeated.”

@dutchdalton992 @MikeLevin The active Ukraine military numbers alone almost match the entire US military. The next five European forces combined also match the US in force numbers. U go nowhere near matching Europe in Europe. Your tech is good but lasts five minutes and you don't make enough munitions.

This is truly insane, and it should be front page news across America.  Denmark secretly deployed soldiers to Greenland prepared to blow up airport runways to stop a U.S. invasion. They brought blood supplies to treat the wounded. France, Germany, Norway, and Sweden quietly coordinated against us. This was not a drill. This was our closest allies preparing to fight Americans. Let that sink in. NATO allies. Countries whose soldiers have fought and died alongside ours for decades. They looked at this president and decided they had to prepare for the worst. Fewer allies does not make America great. It makes us more isolated, more vulnerable, and it hands Russia and China exactly what they have always wanted: an America abandoned by its friends. The American people deserve to know how badly this president has damaged our standing in the world.  bbc.com/news/articles/…

@jimiuorio Sure, he might be qualified. But before he became a Senator he was a successful plumbing business owner. Since then he's been a Senator. In that time as a Senator, tell me how you think he has gained the skill sets and experience to become a Director of Homeland Security.

I see that many of you that have responded are making the same dumb mistake…being a wildly successful businessman who owned a plumbing company is not a qualification for being director of homeland security…you guys seem to think that running a plumbing business DISQUALIFIES him from the position…I’ve identified the problem…many of you are not very bright…

Technically can’t be fired since they’re also not getting paid (or pretty sure anyhow), and it wouldn’t really do any good for that reason. But this problem is going to keep happening - the Dems have weaponized air travel now. The Guard probably should have been called up anyway (it was after 9/11), but we need a longer-term solution that (and I can’t believe I’m saying this) does not rely on Congress functioning.

Not saying this will happen, but I can easily imagine a future where states take over airport security from the federal government, simply by agreement or authorization with DHS. If the center cannot hold, devolution makes sense.

🚨HOLY CRAP!!! The San Juan airport in Puerto Rico now has DOZENS of OUTDOOR TENTS set up, just so hundreds of passengers have somewhere to stand while waiting for TSA. Reports are that people are standing in line at TSA for 5-6 HOURS in Puerto Rico. PURE MADNESS!!!!!

Six years ago this week is when things started to get really weird. The fact that the government and the media behaved ridiculously wasn’t what was the most troubling. By far the most troubling was how few questioned the nonsense. Just one of about 100 examples..”masks do nothing..please don’t rush to wear masks…oh and masks are mandatory”

Re the masks and virus/aerosols blocking efficacy and from the medical meta studies. But it takes reading articles with an open mind to get there.

@HoraceKent4 @JWard_73 @jimiuorio @JWard You think? I know there is evidence for masks reducing transmission from multiple medical studies. @HoraceKent4 @JWard_73 @jimiuorio @JWard It's all covered in that article. The science is the science and Mayo won't differ on what is explained there. If you don't want to read that article, including how different sized aerosols are stopped by masks and how that relates to covid virus size, that's your choice.
