Yin by Matrova Massive shoutout and thanks to @Matrova_pad for allowing me the privilege of being able to use and review this mousepad. I absolutely judged this pad when I first got it, but without spoiling the video all I will say is don't judge a book by its cover! Video down below!! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

We all hate shipping costs, so I've decided to do something special for the Apex release. USA - free shipping (duties incl) EU - free shipping (duties incl) East Asia - $5 (duties not incl outside China) Canada, OCE, and other regions - $15 off shipping (duties not incl)

Apex, my fastest and most durable glass mousepad yet, is going on pre-order this Friday, July 17th, at 6pm EST. To celebrate, I will be giving one away. Just like, comment and repost.

@KuonLabs Do you have an idea of when any of the reviewers will have their reviews up? Was hoping to see one of them before release. 🤙🏼

A few technical details for those following KUON. Every material was selected carefully, with one goal: building the most refined and coherent glasspad system possible. Nothing was chosen simply because it was available or inexpensive. Each layer, treatment and component had to justify its place in the final product. The glass — aluminosilicate Most conventional glasspads rely on soda-lime glass, the common low-cost industry standard. KUON uses aluminosilicate glass instead: a denser, higher-performance material selected for its mechanical durability, improved impact resistance and greater resistance to crack propagation. This is not a cosmetic upgrade or a surface finish. It is the structural material of the pad itself. The strengthening — chemical ion exchange Rather than relying only on conventional thermal tempering, the glass is chemically strengthened through ion exchange. The glass is immersed in a molten salt bath, where smaller surface ions are replaced by larger ones. This creates a deep compression layer within the surface of the glass, improving mechanical strength and resistance to cracking without adding thickness. The surface — directly micro-etched The glide does not come from a coating applied over a pre-existing smooth glass surface. The glass itself is worked directly. A microscopic texture is etched into the material to define the contact between the skates and the pad. The surface is therefore not simply covered or modified by an additional layer: its glide characteristics are physically built into the glass. A coating is something added on top. An etch becomes part of the surface itself. This was a deliberate choice for consistency, durability and long-term surface integrity. The print — UV sealed beneath the glass The artwork is printed beneath the glass and fully isolated from the playing surface. It never comes into contact with the mouse or the skates and therefore has no influence on the glide. The base — full-coverage honeycomb silicone The entire underside is supported by a full honeycomb silicone base. This provides stronger desk adhesion, limits shifting and torsion, and helps dampen desk vibration during use. The edges — polished for comfort The edges are rounded and polished to reduce pressure against the forearm and improve comfort during longer sessions. The tuning — a complete surface-and-skates system KUON was not designed around the glass alone. The surface texture and included skates were selected to complement one another, because glide is created by the interaction between both materials rather than by the pad in isolation. The result is tuned around a control/speed balance: Precise initial friction during micro-adjustments, followed by a smoother dynamic glide during wider movements. Every component was chosen as part of the same system — the aluminosilicate glass, chemical strengthening, micro-etched surface, skates, artwork construction and silicone base. Not a generic glass plate with additional layers placed on top. A surface developed directly through the material itself. 490 × 420 mm.

You’ve seen how the XA25 comes together. Here’s where the weight goes. 9 parts. 24.94 g total (~25±1g). In future posts, we'll share tidbits of the engineering and weight optimization that go into these components.

Back to design next week 💥 Disclaimer: 👀💥 I have a right to have an opinion and if you don’t like it move on or mute me. Just what I’ve been seeing lately Every mouse, skate and pad are preference. Nothing more, nothing less. Stop acting like everything is “end game” when shit is dependent on person and something is going to come out next week and be “end game” again. Let’s hype up pads that are all clones or are slightly better then the last to get free shit. It’s just crazy to me and I don’t understand it at all. I remember the times where you just pick up a nice pad and mouse and just game, but let’s be real about half yall do it for it for clicks and it’s just sicking to me. End of rant enjoy your week much love and be better 🫵❤️ ~Kxyss

Since Apex and Rivals are more dynamic than something like Valorant, i’d recommend for cloth or glass something balanced. Pads like the Hyperion from Pulsar come to mind, maybe the Mercury as well which is a bit quicker than the Hyperion. For glass I haven’t used a ton but two pads I really enjoyed were the Prosperity and Polarity from Padsmith and Glsswrks!
