@player1129949 when we're sure it can be done to our standards. maybe next year.

@Pasta31436520 Definitely something we'll consider once production goes smoothly!

For the cleanest data, we also made standalone loggers for Linux and Windows. Grab from GitHub Releases: github.com/XBAB-Tech/Mous…
Single-file executables, no install. They save CSVs, or HTML reports with the data embedded. Send someone a report and they can open it and explore the interactive plot themselves, instead of passing screenshots.
So far in testing on our computers, the Windows standalone app has less timing jitter than MouseTester. Give it a try and let us know what you find!

We needed MouseTester on Linux. It didn't exist, so we built MousePlotter: an in-browser app to record raw mouse data. Free & open source.
Try it out at mouseplotter.xbabtech.com.
8k mice work nicely with Chrome/Edge on Windows and Linux (on macOS, use Safari).
Fully interactive plot powered by uPlot. All the key info displayed together: motion counts, velocity, and timing.
Just like microe1's MouseTester, you can use MousePlotter to:
• Analyze mouse motion counts, to check signatures of sensor framerate, smoothing, Motion Sync, etc
• Check max tracking speed (rarely needed for modern mice)
• Evaluate impact of OS and BIOS settings on mouse data timing
• With consistent timing, you can even detect a single dropped report on 8k mice.
• Import and export CSVs, fully compatible with MouseTester

@Clar3nce_CS @anders_4k lower weight by a few grams, no battery life to worry about, marginally lower latency, and no risk of interference with other wireless devices.
English

@anders_4k @xbabtech Any reason for the wired over wireless at all ?
English

@anders_4k @xbabtech This shape actually looks similar to my work mouse. And it’s kinda goated for 1-3-1 grip lmao
English

@AlexFrost_46 initially we'll sell just the mouse but keep some stock of parts for warranty/repairs
English

@ballsc0nsumer77 The black dye does not affect the surface finish at all. These are both uncoated.

@TsuihaJP thanks, it would be help to know your results. The important criteria is that the NC contact does not lose contact for more than ~100us, continuously, when finger pressure is applied without a physical click. If your oscilloscope has a pulse trigger, that's useful to detect this
