happy april fools' day ⚜️ ~ to counter the fake news on your feed, @malleshpai, @mkalinin2, and i are sharing "Adding flexibility to Ethereum's exit queue," an article outlining and motivating our recent EIP to improve the efficiency of validator withdrawals.

@potuz_eth More precisely, Prysm validators would be leaking until their share of the total stake shrink below 1/3. If the initial total share of Prysm validators would be lower than 2/3 then no ejection were needed if validator balances are more or less even.

But if the Prysm share of the network was 33%, the network would not be able to justify again until all Prysm validators where ejected. Now that all the other major CL clients exploded for other reasons, we forced our validators to start attesting. 11/12

At the start of epoch 242679 Prysm's validators where erroneously attesting with "source" epoch being 242678, believing it would be justified. But every single block that arrived did not, in fact, justify that epoch, so no block could be head according to prysm. 8/12
