🇨🇦 Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney says Canada “supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security.” In a joint statement with Foreign Minister Anita Anand, Carney calls Iran the “principal source of instability and terror” in the Middle East and says it “must never be allowed to obtain or develop nuclear weapons.” He justified the unprovoked assault by stating that Iran has neither dismantled its nuclear program nor “halted all enrichment activities.” He also said Iran continues to support its regional allies. “Canada reaffirms Israel’s right to defend itself and to ensure the security of its people.”
