Will motivation fade when AI is used to impose an even heavier workload on people, as happened with the proliferation of computers?
I had hoped for the liberation of the working class and the rise of a resource-based economy that would free people from the work/debt cycle, now I fear that AI will be used to reinforce the chains of the proletariat in perpetuity.

Sure, and Borders closed twenty years ago, doesn't mean I don't remember what once was and feel grateful to have experienced it before every thing in this city I once took for granted is gradually torn down and replaced with something else that makes me feel just a little more abandoned and left behind in the place where I was born and raised.
I don't blame people for leaving, one way or another.

No I just remember what thirty years of consumer servitude was like and the idea of that being what defined me as a person motivates me to fight for the liberation of the working class from wageslavery so that future generations might actually be able to progress and create a proper resource based economy based on AGI and robotics instead of being locked into the same socioeconomic trap that I was.

Yes in fact the data shows just that. When you take away jobs, art, and just force people to live in poverty and entertained by media, it's not surprising that they just kill themselves or fall into heavy drugs. Did you just memory Hole Covid or something? Like think for 3 seconds!

More MN fraud: A St. Paul, Minn. scammer convicted of defrauding an 85-year-old victim with dementia out of $1.6 million has been sentenced to only four years in prison.
Prosecutors couldn't find or recover any of the money stolen by Joseph Robinson. Judge Jerry Blackwell allowed the man to be out of custody until he starts his sentence at a later date.
Outside the courthouse, Robinson's thuggish handler intimidated KARE11 reporter @LouNewsMan.
