I was conned, like so many others, by NS politics. I thought Umno would want to govern with the help of 5 PN reps. I supported that with vigour, and so I need to apologise for my naivety
The plan was all along to unseat the MB but keep the PH government in power. Amiruddin was the sole victim. Sorry for him, a victim of betrayal by PKR / PH leaders
The other victims of betrayal were the 5 PN Assemblymen. They prematurely supported the move to unseat the MB, thinking they could be part of the new government
It’s not too late. The 5 should throw their support to the current MB. Block the traitors and see what happens
PMX's defence of his choice of MACC chief is insipid and lame
That position becomes available after months of controversy surrounding Azam Baki. One would have thought the PM would have taken steps to show the public that he recognises their concerns and would take steps to address them
That he would be looking at a pool of the best he could find and show the public the track records and capabilities of the prospective nominees for the most important job
That he would be more transparent in his search and serious about finding a suitable replacement, based on the demanding criteria suited to the job. But that’s not what happened
If he wants a former judge with no political or big-business exposure, there are about 50 of them around.
What the people want is someone who has the experience in the investigative arm of government, who has the nerves of steel to be independent of the PMO, and the willingness to clean up the MACC once and for all
But then again, let’s see if we are all wrong!
All the top lawyers are in the limelight. All of them spoke valiantly about how those Adat laws of Negeri could not displace a sitting monarch; that there was no constitutional crisis
None spoke about the current play, where the King will now select the Chief Commissioner of MACC. Apparently, this is normal in a constitutional democracy. Not a sliver of a constitutional crisis before their eyes
Over the past five years, two things have increased to record levels in Tamil Nadu:
The first is…one family’s wealth.
And the second is…Tamil Nadu’s debt.
A Seattle man who shot and killed an eight-month pregnant Korean-American woman and nearly killed her husband when they were driving to work has been found not guilty by reason of insanity.
Cordell Goosby m—rdered Elina Kwon and her unborn baby in June 2023 when they were stopped at a red light. Prosecutors did not charge him for killing the baby due to concerns about protecting abortion in the liberal state.
After hearing testimony from defense medical experts that Goosby was "insane" at the time of the shootings, the prosecution agreed to have the case ended through the not guilty motion.
Goosby will be committed to an institution and regularly evaluated to see if he is fit to be released to the public. ngocomment.com
Go back seventy days, before this war, when the world was silent and the internet was cut.
Narmak police station, 9 pm. Bursts of gunfire. Final shots. The cries of women and men who stood their ground with courage, and became our immortal heroes.
So when someone says “no to war,” show them this full video. Show them what the terrorist Islamic Regime occupying Iran was doing to us in the dark, before the sky itself answered. Then ask them why they expect a nation to grieve for its jailer before its dead.
To put a parliamentary motion condemning the US / Israeli unprovoked attack on Iran is not enough. The PM needs to wash himself clean of this child rapist, Donald Trump.
Use this occasion to abandon the Trade agreement
Show solidarity with the Iranians by offering help in any way we can
This US administration has caused chaos worldwide. It is starting a World War to save itself from internal destruction
The US is a cruel and lawless government and does not deserve any respect from any civilised community
There is nothing to be gained by being on the side of America
@sitikasim@buymeacoffee He was and still has is a racist, through and through. Forgets who fought for him, in spite of all the obstacles, during his hard years.
